Remember September 2010 when Nintendo announced a new Virtual Console service for the Nintendo 3DS system that features past portable game systems?

Fast forward to right now: The 3DS VC is available now (since the opening of the Nintendo eShop) and we already seen some great classics released on the service. Gameplay has mostly been untouched, except for certain things, which is why I brought this blog discussion up.

Special Virtual Console Features Not Included in...

All Nintendo 3DS VC games added to the North American Nintendo eShop will be purchased, except the following games. Although, this list is subject to change depending if Nintendo has added special functions.

• Dr. Mario - Already have polished version(s). Unless Nintendo adds wireless multiplayer at some point, this has to be passed.
  
• Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - Already have the Game Boy Color DX version. Utterly pointless for getting the B&W version.
  

For your information and interest, here are some of the strong points I have given Nintendo during the last few years on the portable download services.
