What I mean is that the songs get converted and compressed when uploaded to youtube. Then I download the flv/mp4 file and converts it again which results in further loss of quality, I think.

I don't need that. I use DownloadHelper. Then I use AoA Audio Extractor Platinum to convert to mp3.
