I've never actually played either of the games, I'll probably play Megaman as soon as it's out on VC. Depends really..

There is not a smiley with eyes big enough to properly display my current state of bewilderment. You've not played Mega Man? Is that even possible? That's like not having played Mario, or Sonic. Hell, it's probably less likely than those two given that there are approximately 85 456 different Mega Man games. The chances of one simply falling into your console is not to be dismissed.

Mendez mickey-taking over and done with, my vote is for Mega Man, because it's one fo the best game series of all time, and ShockMan isn't.

Is it really that shocking? I don't even know what the games are about, and only first heard of them properly when they came on GBA...

Oh... oh, my... no no no no, this will simply not do. Mendez; do not speak again until you have procured some means of experiencing the exalted genius of Inafune. Go now, young padwan, be enlightened. There is no try, only do, or do not.

I've never played a Megaman game either. The series just isn't that big in the UK, probably because we've had so few of the games. I was thinking about picking up the anniversary collection, but it never showed up here.

*puts hand in the air*

I've never played Mega Man either. Is it worth downloading Shockman in the meantime? I've heard one of the last PSP Megaman's was pretty good.

Not big in the UK? What the... It was massive here! Same all over Europe. Fair enough, it's had a lowish worldwide profile over the last few years, primarily to the general decline in 2D gaming (and the shortage of 3D Mega Man games) but nevertheless it's a gaming institution.

As for the PSP Mega Man Hendo is referring to, it's a remade version of the first game, and it's absolutely cracking. All that twitchy 2D gameplay wrapped in a nice shiny new package; totally shows the way as far as remakes are concerned. Get it.

Mega Man's not that big here because Capcom Europe's treatment of it is ****-poor. We didn't get Mega Man 6, Anniversary Collection or X Collection and most MM games come out of a hell of a lot later here.
