Mario World version issues?

Ok, I've got a European Wii, and I downloaded Mario World the day it came out. Now, several months down the line, I thought I'd finished it, but I'm not sure.

According to my save game screen, I've got all 96 exits, but it's not showing the Star next to the number. I read somewhere that there is no star on the original Japanese version of the game, but I thought the version available for download in the UK was the original PAL version?

Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone have any idea what I've allegedly not done?

There was never a star next to the '96'.
The number just appears in blue (apart from the usual yellow).

Star is US, blue is PAL version.

Really? Ok, that's weird. I used to have the version bundled with the PAL SNES at launch, and was convinced that turned blue AND had the star.

Oh well, my mistake. Thanks for the explanation.

Kinda goes without saying, but yes, my 96 is blue after all.
