There is now some info on the finished version of Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games thanks to gamespot.

http://www.gamespot.com/wii/sports/m...opslot;title;3
The game sounds like it has come along really well and has got alot of events added in. More than i thought there would be. And from what they've said sounds like the game will involve you getting alot of excercise. Sounds like good fun though. With or without friends sounds like the computer will put up quite a fight. Anyway discuss..

At 2:23 we see footage of the game on DS. Looks great already although video quality sucks. But the graphics for DS look fantastic.

At 3:58 we see footage of the game on Wii. But it is nothing new. We've seen it all before.

And finally at 6:23 we see in game footage of Sonic Riders Zero Gravity which is to hit the Wii & PS2 in 2008.
Well the DS version looks great. Graphics seem awesome especially for the DS.

From what I've heard of Mario & Sonic I think I'll get it for Christmas. I thought it would be terrible first but it sounds really good now and it's getting some good acclaim.

It's a must buy for me, it always has been. The first game to contain both Mario and Sonic is a very historical event, and I think the olympics is the perfect theme for such a game.

I disagree. I think this game will be terrible. Everyone thought for sure that Smash Bros. Brawl would be the first game to feature Mario and Sonic together, and really, what better a game to have them duke it out? The olympic games may work as a Wii game to attract nongamers, but I feel that they just added Mario and Sonic to get extra cash.

If it recieves positive reviews, I'll rent it, but that's probably as far as I'll go with it.

But Smash Bros is all about Nintendo. However you look at it Sonic will just be a 'guest' in Nintendo's game there, and frankly Sonic deserves better. Mario and Sonic are both huge, and the first game featuring both characters must see them on equal terms. The olympics are perfect since the real olympics is all about countries, even rival countries, competing together on equal terms, and this is the equivelent in the videogame world.

I have faith it'll turn out well, after all it's being developed by Sega with a new team made up of ex-Smilebit members who I'm sure will be good, and supervised by Shigeru Miyamoto to ensure the Mario elements are faithful as well. It is a bit of a casual gamers game I admit and I'm getting fed up with that kind of stuff like most people, but if it's done well, which it should be, it'll be very good fun.

I 100% agree. And from what gamespot have said they enjoyed it and they are well known for being wii haters. But yeah this is historical like you said and i dont think they were just slapped on for extra cash. And even if they were then so what the game sounds great. This is going to be my first Olympics game ever.

Sounded kinda stupid at first like a cheap mini game rip-off But it's sounding good for casual and a bit more of the exstream gamers. But I don't know about hard core gamers.

Mario & Sonic official site now open. Dont expect much though. Just the games intro, some game info and some screens of both the DS and Wii versions. Its still a nice start though.
