MARIO KART WII CHAMPIONSHIP
I felt we needed a more organized thing for playing Mario Kart all together, so I came up with this set of rules. Almost no one seemed to have noticed my posts in the other thread, and since that thread isn't going to be flooded with registrations, another thread is the only thing to make you notice this. The Championship is a series of races on all 32 tracks subdividede into the regular MKWii cups. Racers receive points in relation of their final standing position in the whole cup, in the same way the scoring system inside the cup works. The track listing should follow the normal order of the cup, so everyone must select the same track. For example, if we're racing the Flower cup, the natural order of selection would be: Mario Circuit, Coconut Mall, DK's Snowboard Cross, Wario's Gold Mine At the end of every cup everyone should write down his position and points. If more than one person is able to write all the final standings, it would be a better practice, but I don't remember how much time the screen stays there, enough to see where you are for sure, not the same for the time needed to write all names and pts down... Taking a shot of the cup's final screen with a digital camera may be a fine solution. I got one for example, and when I'm partecipating I may be able to use it. Now with some other details: If more than one person has the same amount of points at the end of a cup, those players receive the same amount of points as they were side by side at the top position, and the following position is then skipped: Let's say if 2 players have both 30 pts at the end of a cup, and they finished 3rd and 4th, they receive both 10 pts like they fiished both 3rd, but the follower receives pts for being 5th (the 4th position points attribution is skipped). If a person can't partecipate in a single cup he/she receives 0 pts for that cup. In case of disconnections during a race, the in game standing will be considered. If the game removes the player from the standings, he/she will then receive 0 pts for the whole cup, if otherwise the game still lists the player (but I don't think it works this way), he/she will receive the normal amount of pts at the end of the cup as he/she appears in the final standings. For the duartion of each round, we can decide how many cups we want to race. Keeping in mind that a minimum of time is requested to come back here to communicate each one's final standings and trace the temporary championship standings. Is GMT something like army time? I don't know how to tell by that type of time. (GMT) I'm available anyday 8-10 p.m. eastern time.

As for me, I'm available at inconsistent times. Just schedule races and I'll find out if I can attend them or skip them.

Use GMT time, which is also called UTC: Coordinated Universal Time (I guess the code comes from French) [EDIT] ....er...not quite: Temps Universel Coordonné. Last edited by neuzd; 15th May 2008 at 05:40 PM. |
