Wouldn't have even looked at this without reading the review but it looks different enough to be worth a try for 800 points, I think I'll give it a go. Maybe getting a fairly obscure Japanese game out of the blue like this was timed to coincide with the Hanabi Festival.

The strangest thing is that this was announced for Japan ages ago, yet it still hasn't been released there.

I was thinking the same thing (and still am!).

Not bad, I won't delete this one any time soon because it'll be good for short bursts of gameplay at any time. The DS download is a good feature to have because it's a perfect game for on the move, just a shame you can't keep it on the DS.

The graphics could've been better, even on the Wii they seem to have done bare minimum there, if there were some graphical effects and a better soundtrack it would have been an all together better game. The WiiWare-world reviewer liked the soundtrack but I don't, I would have liked it to be faster and more up-beat for this type of game. I'm not complaining, you can't have everything for 800 points.

Didn't think this warranted a new thread, so... BUMP.

How does this compare with the Art Style games? Unfortunately, the
WiiWare rating thread has not really helped- one rating for Cubello
and one rating for MaBoShi (but by 720Bomber... so make that zero).
I'm done with World of Goo, Toki Tori and Dr. Mario and am looking for
a new puzzler... the Art Style collection looks great but it gets
ignored every week for Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen simulators and
the like. What do you recommend... waiting for Art Style or getting
MaBoShi now?

ta muchy,

-m.

I downloaded this yesterday and I really enjoy it. I haven't quite got the hang of the square game but there is a real sense of achievement when you start to progress through the levels. The replay feature actually affecting your current game is a neat touch and adds some real depth to the game too. Well worth 800 points and perfect for a quick go or an extended session.

I've stopped waiting for the Art Style game, they'll come when they come.

Ha! Nicely put.

So nice, that I downloaded MaBoShi yesterday. Talk about addictive!
I was not too fond of it at first as I found it too random but I am getting
the hand of the ball game and stick game (Do not mention the f''n' square game!).
It is not really something that I see my self spending hours on-
just 10-20 minute bursts before loading up a disc. What keeps drawing
me back is seeing if I can get a stage further than I did on the previous
attempt... which I like.

Anyway, thanks for the recommendation!
