Luckily, it doesn't seem to work for me.

Getting a ClassNotFoundException. Downloaded the latest java plugin (which I shouldn't have done, since I'm a java developer and need specific versions on my machine),and couldn't get it working even in other java-eirc based chats.

What about the libraries? I read I don't need to download anything when using java-eirc-chat, is this working for anyone else?

Probably it will be useful also for me, when playing online or things like that....

Yes. The link to the new Live Chat is currently only displayed on the default theme. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Also, thanks for the feedback neuzd. I've tested it on both Sun Java 5 and 6 with nos issues. Everything you need should be downloaded with the applet, but I'll try to look into this. If anyone else has any issues, please post them for investigation.

If you are IRC literate, you can connect to the chat room with the following details.

Server: centralchat.net
Channel: #Virtual_Console_Chat

It has been tested with the following browser Java plugins:

Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0-b105
Java(TM) Plug-in 1.5.0_11-b03

It's very new, so I will be doing more testing. Thanks for the feedback.

Is IS IRC. Java is just used as the front-end.

Why should you care?
The Java layer is there just for those who wants to access the chat via browser, so avoiding the use of programs like mIRC.

If the applet is not working on your browser, I can't help, mainly because I'm at work and I NEED my java version to work properly.
I searched the web for some explanation, but other forums are filled with the same error I experienced and the answers are never that satisfactory (ex: uninstall and re-install the latest JRE).
