I'm fairly interested in this after watching Demon's video review. I think I'll get it after Cave Story (saving my current points for this) and Swords and Soldiers.

It's not the second coming of Kid Icarus that I was hoping for, but I'm still saving some points for this one.

It really does seem like it would be tough to accidentally create a tagline that horrendous, but it seems to happen.

I'm glad they liked the game though. I'll keep my eyes peeled for some real reviews soon (when it's slated for North America).

Looks like a good game. Not my type of game, but if it's a good game, I can appreciate that...Kid Icarus wasn't as great as people hype it up to be, so maybe it's better Icarian Spirits isn't a Kid Icarus clone.

I got stuck a few times but that was my fault for looking for complicated solutions to straightforward problems. In one instance you could do some complicated juggling OR if you're healthy enough just run through the hazard! Hopefully this is just a feature of the early levels and it'll get trickier soon.

The comparisons with LostWinds are not far off but they are different games, There is a sense of control over both the motion and movement of your sprite that was sometimes absent from Lost Winds. Although I am yet to get hold of new powers reading the manual has shown that there are more things to learn which should help make the game and puzzles more varied than Lost Winds.

There are a number of instant kill hazards to learn through trial and error but with inifinite lives this isn't too much of a problem.


It's good to have an original 2D platformer on WiiWare.
