hi everybody! Im new and looking for SNES VC advice please

Hi guys, Tomorrow Im getting some Wii points and Im planning on getting 7 SNES games to play as well as Resi Evil 4. There are 12 games altogether I want which are
1) Actraiser
2)Donkey Kong Country
3) Donkey Kong Country 2
4) F-Zero
5) R-Type 3
6) Street Fighter 2
7) Super Castlevania 4
Super Ghouls N Ghosts
9)Super Mario World
10) Super Probotector
11) Zelda
12) Mystical Ninja
Which 7 games do you guys in your opinions recommend that I buy tomorrow? Please give reasons why you recommend them too. Thanks guys!

hehe i like how the replaces 8, anyway if you are willing to put up with endless hours of frustration there is nothing about super ghouls n ghosts.

1) Now regarding Actraiser i _highly_ advise you read this first: http://www.vc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=534
it fully explains how and why actraiser is an overrated, over hyped, and all together just a huge let down. however if you like sims that you can complete without even trying then maybe its for you... really the sim-mode is just boring. However if you are already familiar with the game and have nostalgic value towards it, then nothing i say will stop you from downloading, have fun with it if thats the case.

2 & 3) can never go wrong with the DKC series

4) i liked f-zero, however after playing f-zero X i dont think i will be going back to the SNES version for quite some time, you just get so much more with X for the extra 2 bucks, but thats your call son.

5) never played it but heard good things

6)i do hope you mean street fighter 2 turbo, if your not in the states i suggest you wait, turbo should be out soon.

7) i cant really say super castlevania 4 is a bad game, its pretty good all around, you should have fun

9) mario ofcourse, through personally this is probably one of my least favorite of the 2d series, i dont know its just something about mario world that doesnt appeal to me at all... yoshi's island and mario3 FTW!!!

10)i never heard of that game

11)cant go wrong with zelda either

12).. i.. i dont know what that is


if i where you i would check out Contra III, i had loads of fun with that. well if your looking for just SNES games then you pretty much already got the key ones down. just know you will go much farther with those N64 titles than SNES games you are not sure about.

lol oh, heh well i dont know all the fancy name changes that have been made in EU/US, but as you can see bishamon pretty much agreed with me on that one, so you know your in good hands.

There is just so much wrong with all of the above I don't know where to start? ActRaiser is poor? Super Mario World as well? Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts is nothing more than "endless hours of frustration"? And more to the point, you've not even played half the games he's asking about... That's just really poor advice.

on the contrary my friend, i believe you have took many things out of context,

1) first and foremost i do firmly 100% believe Actraiser is poor and overrated, and wrote a detailed explanation in my link why it is, so you can take that for what it is.

2) Regarding Super Mario World i clearly stated that *I* didnt care too much for Super Mario World and it didnt appeal to *me*, i cant have an opinion about that game?

3) Super Ghouls 'n' ghost, oh so you never got frustrated playing this game? these are just warnings.

4) and that you mentioned i havent played "half" of the games is waaay out of context, lol i mean its not like i gave an opinion of a game i never played before. I didnt say "i never played this but i assume its bad" if i haven't played a game i simply stated so and didnt give an opinion of it.

plus there are only 2 games on there i havent played, mystical ninja and R-type 3 and again didn't say anything bad about them, also i wasnt aware that super probotector was also contra III at the time of post.

Personally I found ActRaiser and Super Mario World very enjoyable. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts was ridiculously hard, but had people coming back for more!

Personally, I'd recommend these seven:

• ActRaiser
  Donkey Kong Country
  Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
  Super Castlevania IV
  Super Mario World
  The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  (if EU) Kirby's Dream Course
  (if US) Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting

Dude; do I dislike you? Certainly not. Do I, on the other hand, think you know what you're talking about? Again, certainly not. I know everyone loves the "it's just my opinion defense" on this forum, but opinions are like a**holes: everyone's got one, and they mostly stink.

When a guy asks for advice, don't insult his intelligence by thinking he can't handle the difficulty of some games. Don't disregard the fact that you, on the basis that it's your opinion, have just dismissed 3 of the best-loved games (by the vast majority) on the VC, when statistically, he's going to love them.
On here, your opinion will get challenged, if not by me than someone else a day or two later. If you don't like that fact, don't espouse your opinions. To reiterate; is it personal? Certainly not.
