HELP! TECH SUPPORT NEEDED BADLY!

Had a power cut the other and lost all internet access. Got that sorted via AOL tech support and everything was hunky dory...but now my wii won't recognise my router...what do I need to do?

Depending on what youyr router is, your first course of action should be to reset it. Then you should check and recheck all you WEP settings. If that doesn't work. let me know and I'll try to troubleshoot.

if you are useing a wireless router then access the router settings menu and change the signal type to what the Wii can read
after that a auto search might fix it.

I'm sorry if this isn't much help, but i just came home and am to tierd to go in to details, hope some one can help you out tho

Best thing to do would be to wipe your Wii's online settings (I don't mean format it, if you format it you'll lose your VC games) from the "internet connection" in the options. And then set it all up again.

AOL have left my broadband connection unsecured after putting me back on line. I HATE CALL CENTRES.

So, I'll have to call them again this evening and waste another bucket load of cash and not get to spend time with my daughter so these MORONS can get it all wrong again.

My brother works in a call center. DON'T get angry with them. As soon as you shout and scream and swear at them, they'll intentionally mess you about and won't help you.

Agreed I do my best to keep my cool under difficult prevailing conditions, believe me. I started my current career in a call centre and have had people wishing me dead and calling me all sorts of names!

Still, find most call centres to be 'unhelpful' to say the least.

Right...sorted out the connection to aol and the WEP all by my lonesome. Which for a technoramus such as my self is a big deal!

Still no luck with the wii connection though.
