Default Half Life 1 and 2, The Episodes, Portal and Team Fortress 2.

This is old news to anyone that has already heard about this game, but this link is for people who don't (if there are any left). Welcome to the definition of innovation.

For those who don't know this will be packed in with Half-life 2 Ep:2 along with Half-life 2, HL2 Ep:1, and Team Fortress Classic 2 in the Orange Box for only 50 bucks. Portal looks amazing though and it almost overshadows my excitement for the next episode of Half-life. Almost.

Yep, The Orange Box will be my next purchase. Gonna get the 360 version, I don't play PC (which explains why I missed out on all the Half Life games).

Ah I'm sorry to hear my friend. I think you're gonna really enjoy em though. Excellent game design. Also HL2 and HL2 Episode 1 are getting the same graphics bump as Episode 2. So good news for PS3 and 360 owners who never got the chance to play HL2. Youre definitely gonna get your moneys worth now. Did you ever play the original Half-life?

Oh and maybe after you play it you'll have a different view in our Halo thread !

No, but I have played a teensy bit of the HL2 port onto the Xbox. Just the first couple of levels, thought it was excellent but didn't have the money to buy it. Now, 'tis the future, where I have a job that rakes in good video game money. I'll be picking The Orange Box up with my friend one the day it releases.

Did you even get to the gravity gun? Thats where the game really starts. How did it look on the original Xbox? I'd imagine you'll get a more faithful representation on the 360.

I don't even remember if I got to the gravity gun or not. And the graphics were pretty good to my memory, but this was a simpler time my dear boy. It isn't like I'm a graphics ***** anyway.

Nah neither am I. It's not essential to my gaming experience but its always nice when the art direction can be visualized through great graphics. Also, there is still a standard at the time period of a games release which we are all accustomed to concerning graphical quality. There is also a breaking point for me where you can tell there could have been added effort to graphics but the developers took the easy way out. All i'm trying to say is I like icing on my cake if its a possibility.

Yeah I guess I'm the same way. Anyway, crazy story man, my friend who had sent his 360 in for repairs got it back yesterday, and he got the three red lights AGAIN within 30 minutes of playing it. We were planning on playing Team Fortress 2 together once Orange Box came out, and since I just got a 360 recently it would be our first Live play together, and his damn console broke. Man it sucks to be him.

I really hope I don't get the RLOD anytime soon.

Haha man that really sucks. Are 360's really that fickle? I thought it was just something console fanboys liked to exploit. I still don't get why consumers like to argue which console is better. Just play what you like to play why does one need to be better than the other. Leave the competition up to the companies.

Well, it just so happened he was a bit unlucky. The 360 isn't really that easy to break, it took around 2 years for my friend to get the red lights.
