Arrow Gradius II: Gofer no Yabou review

Gradius II: Gofer no Yabou - TurboGrafx-16

Gradius II is a sequel to Gradius and Life Force, and is a horizontal space shooter composed of 7 levels. Like it's predecessor, you can collect power up from enemies and chose which ones to use when. This time, this system is enhanced because you can chose between 4 different power-up sequences, ..

Destroy the core!
Great addition for me, as it's the only Gradius I haven't played besides Gradius V and it looks really nice, both technically and gameplay wise.

I'm on Stage 8 and this Level is damn hard...or absolutely unfair with no powerups.
I think there are 9 Levels in the game.

EDIT:
finished the game and the 8th stage is the last one.
The arcade version has 7 stages. Konami added one bonus stage to the PCE version...the 6th one, if i remember correctly (the level with the flying/jumping lionstatues)

This doesnŽt look nearly as frustrating as Lords of Thunder. Maybe IŽll download.
