Still, you can't deny that all people who have like 2-3 unfinshed games left and tons of completed games, are abusing the :C: medals. With that said, I can still come back to my first statement.

Do you know the Mr. Perfect requirements are? The requirements for the challenge are what you discribed as being a master run a few pages back.

Oh, I know. I got a warning about that when I first did it. I added an extra link to a blank Geocites page and then pointed out to the mod that, by the rules, I can hyperlink images from DA for the purposes of showing it off on a personal site. They dropped it and haven't bothered me since.

Hard 1/Hard 255 from scratch, or do you think New Game+ counts?
Since the game seems to automatically assume you'd be starting a new mode on New Game+, I'd go with that. In fact, I'd consider a from scratch run of each mode a master run in total.

*09. Mr. Perfect*
Description: Clear the game without getting damaged.

Again, this is a component of the game. A no-death run or no-damage run would be a master run if it isn't part of the game. In this case it can't be a considered as a master run.

I'd say it's both. You complete the game by getting all the achievements, and getting all the achievements requires you to master every aspect of the game.

Orrrrr, you make 2 no-damage runs on the same file. I guess you can consider that mastering the game...

That's me... except in Nippon Ichi games. I'll level all party members to max, max all jobs, etc. I'll also get all significant items, but that doesn't mean I'll get 99 Onion Swords in Final Fantasy III, for example. A single one is enough for me to consider it acquired for completion purposes.

No, not really, since you are just repeating a challenge. It still ain't a master run.

You're just splitting hairs now. The game only keeps track of the challenge on the first run. Anything after that strikes me as fair game.

Just how many modes/combination of modes does one need to beat to "complete" the game? I'm not much of a hardcore Castlevania fan, as far as hardcore Castlevania fans go. I've beaten the game with Shanoa mode, Albus mode, hard mode, and the alternate level caps. Specifically, I've beaten hard more with the level 1 cap so I can unlock the level 255 cap, but I haven't played hard mode with either the level 99 cap or level 255 cap (redundancy isn't my thing). Nor did I play a pristine level 1 hard cap run--it was a New Game + with lots of extra equipment (notably, two Death Rings). I also have no plans to beat Albus mode on hard.

I just do everything you can in one file, so all items, monsters, drops, mastered skills (PoR), quests, maps, and then don't worry about other modes.

Other modes are an explicit requirement of Completion, though.

":C: Completed — For games which are 100% done. All extras and modes have been unlocked and finished. All significant items have been collected."

Whatever, insignificant modes that don't really offer anything new aren't my thing, I complete the main game and that's good enough for me.

If you're satisfied Beating games rather than Completing them, that's cool. That's why there are separate :B:s and :C:s built into the system. Lord knows there are more than a few games in my collection that'll stop at :B:s.

There are a number of people who would just 100% a single file and mark the game as completed. Personally, I'm cool with this. I have my own thought on what Completed means, other people can have theirs.

Earlier today, I was looking for something and noticed that I had two games down as Beaten when my notes would indicate that they are actually Completed. Go figure.

Paint isn't too bad, that's where I made my banners and they haven't been too shabby.

I use the GIMP. It takes a while to get used to, but it's legal & free, and has all the features I use on a regular basis.

It doesn't have a "make a straight line" tool, though. How very silly.

I tend to use a mix of MSPaint and Painter Classic. I'm not sure if PC is cheap or free these days, but it came with a tablet I got a few years ago.

However, since I use PS extensively at work... I really notice the limits in Gimp.

I finally made a banner(and put it on the backloggery). Sure, it isn't anywhere near as good as the other. But, atleast I didnt just randomly take it from a random website(randomly).

Yeah, but that list is for your username for backloggery.

It'd be kinda redundant to put your VCF username next to it just for the sake of an underscore.

I do pretty much everything barring character levels, since I they're usually pretty much just mindless kill fests to get to max level, job maxing I'll do ( although if I ever did try to complete FFIII I'D probably just settle for having all jobs maxed, but not all for everyone)

And Final Fantasy Legend mastery w00t! I'll probably follow it up with a Dragon Warrior Monsters mastery within a week (I hope). I still haven't restarted Link's Awakening yet though...

Maxing out all the jobs is really though, but I finally have my Onion Knight and Onion Sword.

Yeah, maxing the jobs in FF3 is a giant pain. I've been playing this game for months and months (on and off), and I think I have 13 jobs mastered now. I'm stubborn enough that I'll finish it eventually...

Oh yeah, FF3 is yet another game I need to get back to. Great game, but I'm still a ways off from beating it.

Edit: I think I'll get back to it after I beat Chrono Trigger.
