| Monty Mole | I finally got a backloggery link! Goodbye, defective Brawl card! Oh, and I added Digiki and will add Lordbowser. EDIT: You may also notice that my collection so far is pretty limited. I'm working on adding all my games. |

| I noticed that there wasn't a Backloggery usergroup yet, so I went ahead and made one. If anyone is interested,it can be found here: http://www.vc-forums.com/groups/vcf-backloggery.html |

My first list was on IGN. It confused me, as they also gave the option to add systems and accessories to the list. A few months before I discovered Backloggery, I created a spread sheet with all my games on them and hosted it on GoogleDocs. I still use it from time to time.

I just went through this thread, and made a list of current backloggery users from this forum. Listed by backloggery username; the board username is listed afterwards in brackets only if it's not the exact same or nearly the exact same. Quote:

| I was using a excel spreadsheet for my VC/Wii Ware games and a wishlist. Then Later I added my list for Animal Crossing NES titles and then piled on the classics in Sonic mega collections. But Backloggery is just easier to use. Now I always remember to add games to backloggery but not my own spreadsheet. A few months before I discovered Backloggery, I created a spread sheet with all my games on them and hosted it on GoogleDocs. I still use it from time to time.[/quote] |

| One of these days, I should update my spread sheet. Just in case something happens, like a database error or something on BL. Always good to be prepared. If anyone is interested in seeing, I still have it up: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...WdAsLjI70uGABA |

Blog Entries: 14 | S'what I do. Imgshack has a monthly bandwidth limit (limit on how many times the image can be viewed by anyone, anywhere), so it's best to use a file type that's small, byte-wise. So use JPG instead of BMP, or if you can make your image indexed/256-color mode without making it fugly, PNG/GIF instead of JPG. |

| No one will ever finish his/her backlog. People won't stop buying games if they are playing them, and people that stopped buying them, aren't playing anymore. Fact. |

| Maybe. After I added all my games to BL, I was appalled at how many unfinished games I had (many of which I had bought but never played). I decided to not buy any new games until I drop my BL to under 50 unfinished. Outside of two VC games and a few I borrowed, I'm sticking to it. |

| That's not "fact". My brother still plays games but he hasn't bought one in well over a year. |

Edit: I have to fix my statement. People won't stop buying games if they are playing them, and people that stopped buying them aren't working on their backlog anymore. Fact. That's what I meant to say in the first place. Last edited by Yasume; 9th February 2009 at 10:07 PM.

There are folks on the Backloggery with one or two games to go. The closest you can get to a complete backlog is having everything finished except for the game you're currently playing. This would enforce a kind of "buy one and play till you finish it" perpetual completion status.

http://www.backloggery.com/main.php?user=paperlink64 He only needs to finish 1 game, yet I can guarantee you that at least 25% of the "completed" games aren't really completed. Mega Man 9 - Completed "Mr. Perfect - Stuck at Wily's Castle." World of Goo - Completed "Cleared all levels. Don't care for OCDs." Pokémon Diamond - Completed "Complete National Pokedex, 4-Star Trainer Card." And those are just the games where I'm aware of the 100% completion tasks. I still stand by my statement.

| True, but that still won't made them completed. |

| What's the difference between completing Mega Man 9 and doing a master run on it? To complete it you would need to finish the challenge list, but to finish the list you would have to do Mr. Perfect which would be a master run. |

| Why exactly would Mr. Perfect be a master run? It's a challenge that the game asks you to do. It's a part of the game, therefore also a completion requirement. |

However, the Completion status being open to interpretation is a courtesy for people who like to overkill. I know people who won't consider an RPG complete until all party members are leveled to max.

Blog Entries: 14 | I've been wondering about that for the Castlevania games. Say, for Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Warning: Spoiler Below. Just how many modes/combination of modes does one need to beat to "complete" the game? I'm not much of a hardcore Castlevania fan, as far as hardcore Castlevania fans go. I've beaten the game with Shanoa mode, Albus mode, hard mode, and the alternate level caps. Specifically, I've beaten hard more with the level 1 cap so I can unlock the level 255 cap, but I haven't played hard mode with either the level 99 cap or level 255 cap (redundancy isn't my thing). Nor did I play a pristine level 1 hard cap run--it was a New Game + with lots of extra equipment (notably, two Death Rings). I also have no plans to beat Albus mode on hard. |
