Default Rank the Mario Games! Best Mario Game
We did Zelda, and know which Mario game is the worst.
Now its time to rank the Mario series.

Am I the only one sad at the fact Yoshi's island appears so low on everyones list?

If we're just counting the Mario platformers, then we ought to count Mario Bros. (Arcade). ;] Donkey Kong, too, if you count "Jumpman."

[12] Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (SNES)

I rank SMB2 & SMB3 the same, for being totally different but equally fun experiences. Yoshi's Island DS & New SMB are about roughly equal experiences, too. SM64 was a fun game while it lasted but gets downrated because I'd never want to play it again (controls were a *****).

I haven't yet played Super Mario Sunshine, though no fault of its own. We don't own it, and haven't found it for sale.

I gave Super Mario Land a ranking higher than it probably deserves because it was my first 2D platformer. Nostalgia counts for a lot.

I don't count these as part of the main series:
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (GB)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)
But if they were, Yoshi's Island would rank 2nd after Mario 64 and Wario Land would rank 5th just ahead of Mario Land.
