Default The Angry Video Game Nerd

Most of his videos are only for mature viewers, so make sure you can handle swearing!

He's just released a new video, so I figured I'd make a topic about it seeing as we don't have one yet.

You can watch most of his old movies at his YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/profile_video...esNintendoNerd

You can watch the newer ones at GameTrailers: http://www.gametrailers.com/screwattack.php (Click Angry Video Game Nerd, and you have to be 18+ to watch these)

The new one (Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout) is the best I've seen (And I've seen all of them). So awesome.

We can add a warning for MATURE AUDIENCE ONLY, don't you think?

Love the Nerd, anyway. I want a shirt of his, but M-size ones are sold out since the discovery of the Americas.....

[EDIT]
Ok I saw you wrote it, but this is the evidence that it's not so visible....what do you say? Should I just read more accurately? Hell....too late....

I think AVGN is amazingly funny but his Mum should wash his mouth out with soap and water!

Just watched the Bugs Bunny review. Had me in stitches! It was almost as gratuitous as reservoir dogs!

To be honest I think he lost some of his passion for reviewing games now I'm not going to call him a sell out like pepole on youtube but he should definatly return to his old style of reviewing video games.

English language does not provide a great number of bad words, you know that there's 1 word anyone uses and it's mainly that one.
I say this because in Italian you have not only a very wide choice of unfair expressions, the freedom of the language itself prizes the efforts of inventing new insults.

So I see AVGN as very creative from this point of view (even if something like buffaloes, road-killed-skunks (me got Italian ears, you know) and things that get out of body orifices, often return).
He would have a lot of fun being Italian, you can swear using words you made up right in that moment, and be sure people around you understand!
There's a story by Stefano Benni where two friends have to battle each other, one of the challenges is the insults challenge. See? You English all you have is one single word, we can write books on that.......(something to be proud of, eh???).

Probably the same guy who was in the Jason and Freddy costumes in the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street reviews.

Obviously when he throws Bugs the suit is empty though.

Dazza even links to the AVGN in the comments below his TMNT review, so you're alone on that.

If you say that word again I'll give you an infraction, minors might be reading!

Seriously I think AVGN is funny. I think it's fine to link to as long as we make it obvious it is 18+/NSFW

avgn is a legend. he takes those moments of controller slamming frustration we've all had and calibrates them in glorious and colorful language.

His "reviews" are rather amusing, in a really crude way. Heh. Actually didn't know about him until a few weeks ago, when I stumbled across one of his reviews on Gametrailers.

Haha I am glad you can see the similarities between yourselves. If we put your moaning personality, Drake's looks (see the member photo thread, they are separated at birth!) and falconage's anger together we would have our very own AVGN!

Oh, man, AVGN. I discovered him earlier this year, and me and my friends have never been the same since. I will have to admit, though, ever since GameTrailers.com started commissioning him, it just hasn't been as funny. I mean, none of his videos beats the Power Glove episode, or the Top Gun one, mostly because he didn't have to milk anything or use any gimmicks to add to the videos. He made fun of truthfully bad things about each game, and how they would **** anyone off (EDIT: Didn't realize that would be censored. So, I'll replace it with "Anger anyone").

Mind you, I still watch every episode and they're still all pretty funny, I just don't think they're as good.

yes, but then its down to you and not them. by telling them that you are over 18 you let them off any legal responsibility because as far as they knew you were an adult.

New one, Fester's Quest: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25046.html

Review itself isn't that good, but I loved the new segments in the intro and him dressing up as ALL Addams Family members, haha.

Damn him for also hating on The Addams Family (SNES/MD) though, that's an awesome game.

Notice on the green radar at the bottem where its saying up up! down down! or whatever well at the bottem it also has speed and altitude and a number beside both. Now at the side it tells you your current speed and altitude. You just need to make your current speed and altitude match with the speed and altitude shown below.

Sorry if that didnt make sense. Ive never played the game. But seen videos.

Man, he's joking about it.
He purposedly makes a mess in the games, how's it supposed to be funny, if it was serious?

He also says in his FAQ that there are games he loves, which he rants on the same.

Take as example the last TMNT video sequence:
he tries (for hours) to jump over a hole which is not to be jumped, but you can walk over it.
Well, he does the same thing all over the game, and you can see from previous parts of the game that he knows those holes aren't danger if walked over.
Nonetheless, that is one of the most funny parts of every AVGN videos.

Take the fun for what it is. Some mindless laugh, nothing more.

I guess.
Which videogame player will go for up/down controls for a whole life without realizing that it's climb/dive?

No, that's simply not believable.
The 'angry video game nerd' as a figure (not James Rolfe himself) is like that and that's how people want him to be that dumb and that angry.
Throwing joypads at the floor and sonic booming the TV (we all dreamed of that at least 10^756 times).

I love the nerd, he's a fictional character lie Donald Duck.
Does anyone ever blame Donald for being so angry and spiteful?
No, you just love him even when he's plain wrong.
