| Mechakoopa | This is a thread for member to come together and talk about their favorite games that were developed and/or plublished by Atlus, a game company known for publishing great yet obscure games that few others would ever put out. Along with publishing, they've also developed a long line of great games, such as the Shin Megami Tensei series (particularly the Persona spin-off series), Etrian Odyssey, and Trauma Center games, among many other games over the course of their long history in the gaming industry. Feel free to talk about any games concerning them, whether you liked or disliked them, etc. If you're not sure what games where made/published by them, feel free to check their Wikipedia page.

| I didn't really get into Trauma Centre but if you want to talk two great Atlus games for consoles that both have "Boy" in their name then here goes. Jack Bros - Virtual Boy Starring Atlus' own mascot Jack Frost! ![]() One of the best titles on the Virtual Boy and the first one I intend to complete when I eventually get around to having a VB fest. It's a sort of top down Gaunletesque game played against the clock and is a lot of fun. Also I enjoy Kwirk - Game Boy ![]() A fun early block pushing puzzler for the original Game Boy, picked it up again recently and enjoyed it as much as I did back in the day. I've heard that Jack Frost from Jack Bros also appears in the Japanese and NA versions of Snoboard Kids an N64 title I'd really like to play one day. I found what appears to be Kwirk in an earlt cartoon series but thanks to the idiotic censorbot I'm not able to use the URL even in a photo link: [ It thinks I'm calling him a **** instead of saying Game Set Watch without the spaces.

| They helped ACE Team bring Zeno Clash to a larger audience. That's pretty cool.

They also brought Demon's Souls to the U.S., which is literally the only game that has made me want a PS3.

| Monty Mole | Atlus is one of my favorite gaming companies, though I have to thank the Persona series namely for that. My favorite games/series that they have developed are: The Dark Spire, Etrian Odyssey, Kartia, Luminous Arc, Persona, Snowboard Kids, Trauma Center, and Yggdra Union.Quote:
But you should definitely play SBK and SBK2 for the N64, both being my favorite games on the system. Though I am more partial to SBK+ due to more characters, especially Pamela who is my second best character next to Nancy.

It's funny with the DS version, people hated the "SD look" and the "huge nose kids" [Personally, I think it's cute.]. So when the art direction changed for SBKDS, the fans are crying how it detracts from the series' charm and unique style, now it's all mainstream animu. Though that doesn't stop the ****storm they caused by replacing Linda, the fan's favorite, with her relative, Brad. And not to mention other things they messed up. Honestly, SBKDS is a pretty terrible game, I don't think diehard Snowboard Kid fans even enjoyed it.

And I love the Super Robot Taisen games! Especially the Original Generation games, which I thought were better than their licenced game-based cousins (though I've only played a few of those). The epic cut scenes before every attack make battles that much more interesting, and it had a pretty good battle system to boot.

SRPG-wise, it's pretty much like Jeanne d'Arc where the gets easy in the beginning and then it increasingly get difficult. The battle system is pretty much like a watered down version of Final Fantasy Tactics and the characters have their own unique special abilities. There are also tons of characters for you to choose from. If you love harem animes like Love Hina with a touch of fantasy and comedy, then you might enjoy Luminous Arc. If you don't, you're honestly not missing much with this series.

Anyways, thanks, now I won't feel the urge to pay a premium for such a generic game.
