Since you like Tactics Advance so much, are you thinking about picking up a copy of Tactics for the PS1? Of course, it could be ridiculously expensive in Australia, so maybe not.

This game really does seem to get quite a negative reaction now from those who didn't play it on its original outing.

After I beat Panzer Dragoon Saga I might take on the OOT Master Quest and see what everyone is complaining about as evertime I've previously played OOT I've still loved it.

I'm thinking about picking up Tomena Sanner after seeing it on your backloggery. I'm presuming its worth the £3.50?

Don't read too much into it. It's possible I'm just a bit bored of playing Zelda games. I'm sure I'll come back to it with wide eyed wonder at a later date.

A lot of it is to do with playing games like Okami that were heavily influenced by 3D Zelda games. I found Okami as more fun and had more ideas and humour than the series that inspired it. Had it been the other way around I may have viewed Okami very differently.

Tomena Sanner is great fun. Very silly and perfect for quick bursts of gaming joy. Haven't tried multiplayer yet so the main focus is on high scores and seeing how far I can get in the Endless Run mode.

to be fair, i havent tried. but i just dont feel like it. i remember when i finished it, i was just happy to be done with the thing. i cant imagine that it aged all that well.

... Man, I want this game to be bloody over. Don't get me wrong, it's probably the best dungeon crawling game that I've played so far (I mostly hated the others) but still punches me with the typical genre downfalls.

I advise you to play Lagoon first on the grounds that its by a million miles the worst of the three. I tried to play it after completing Soul Blazer and just couldn't stomach it.

Endless wandering around repetative mazes with the least effective Sword in videogame history. Then you fight a boss who can only be beaten by walking into him and having a higher level than he is.

Illusion of Gaia on the other hand is one of the most beautiful, thought provoking, touching videogames I've ever played. I love it.

Can't comment on Evermore but I'm sure its better than Lagoon.

Update (I really wanted to bump this thread).

Air "Zonk" is on hold for now, since the last stage is insanely hard and long. I was playing Sweet Mode (easy difficulty), managed to get 8 lives in the previous stages (since those were really easy) and still can't beat the last part of the stage. I don't have much experience with shooters so I need to play some easier ones first.

Will start this tomorrow. Monkey Island 4. The only Monkey Island game I couldn't play through before. Running on my brand new Windows PC. (I still have my iMac). The first time I can play this game from the year 2000.
Man, I just realise we had to wait almost 10 years for Tales of Monkey Island.
