| Do you like my helmet? | Attention all EU gamers! I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive / used copy of the recently released International Cricket 2010. It wasn't released in North America, probably because United States of Americans don't like cricket... but I'm interested in playing it. I know sports games lose their value very quickly, so I don't want to pay premium prices from an import site. If any of you can find a cheap copy, preferably complete, but used and non-mint certainly OK, please let me know. |

Zavvi do the PS3 version and have reliable international delivery but at £24.99 it might still be a bit too expensive for you Zavvi.com - International Cricket 2010 PS3 Amazon.co.uk have it cheaper at £21.99 but you won't get them to ship to Canada.

| Do you like my helmet? | I'd probably be OK with paying around £20 shipping included. Probably not through an online retailer, though... I'd probably have to rely on one of you fine gentlepeople to find a hilariously/inappropriately priced used copy (maybe Angelic or Ouen, since they seem to run into deals a lot?). I can be a couple months' worth of patient, too. |

| Para-goomba | Zavvi are not very reliable as of late, I certainly won't be trusting them with my money. I will keep an eye out for the game for you Jog, it's £22 at Gamestation just now new, I haven't looked how much it is in stores in town but I'll look on Monday. |

| Can you quantify this with some actual evidence? I've had nothing but good service from them the couple of times I've ordered.

| Lakitu | Yeah, I've had no problem with the orders I've done through them (and their sister site thehut) in the last few months. Another I've been impressed with is dvd.co.uk, which packages things very well in fitted cardboard boxes and arrives in Australia very quickly. |

A google search simply turns up a few impatient people complaining that orders over the Xmas period took a long time to be dispatched...err...yeah, that would be because its the Xmas period. I don't see anything to indicate they are risky or not to be trusted and indeed the fact that both of us have recieved multiple international orders recently from them indicates nothing to be concerned about. I wouldn't hesitate in using them. Also its one thing to indicate that they are slow, that's a (contestable) service issue but to indicate that they can't be trusted with money is pretty out of order in my imo ...unless, as I say Ouen has evidence to the contrary.

| Para-goomba | One main problem I've had with them that I've seen others mention on various forums is that they will list an item as 'in stock' and then that item will be ordered and you get an email like the following and I've had about 6: Quote:

Wrong... approx 1 week and a half later: Quote:
Then I asked why I was told my item was dispatched only for them to cancel it/(supposedly) refund me a week and a bit later and he said it must of been a shipping email mistakenly sent out instead of cancelling it... Eventually the refund did come through 12 days later! More people experiencing problems: Here, Here, Here, Here & Here, I certainly never used to have problems with them, and I've not had troubles with the hut. | Do you like my helmet? | Hopefully this won't turn into a Zavvi thread. Ouen, £22 new sounds nice. If a used copy is cheaper than that it might fall into my price range w/ shipping, depending on how much cheaper. Let me know what you see. |

| To be fair to Zavvi, the problems Ouen has illustrated below arn't exactly exclusive to them. I've had similar problems with Amazon, play.com etc listing items as in stock then waiting ages for them to arrive or it turning out that they misrepresented how much stock they had in a sale. Most online retailers behave similarly. It's not good and certainly might be a reason to avoid them but not for the reasons originally stated that they can't be trusted with money. These stores arn't crooks, they just arn't demonstrating efficient service. Anyway, getting semi-back on topic, is cricket actually popular in Canada Jog, or are you just a masochist

| Para-goomba | Maybe that was the wrong phrase, but I've seen this ' in stock but item not sent for weeks' thing happen to too many people to invest my money/time into Zavvi when I can order it elsewhere and get it in a more punctal manner without being lied to about stock/it being sent etc. |

| Do you like my helmet? | Cricket's actually not very popular here, but as a former colony we at least know it exists (unlike some places...). And since my primary area of research if postcolonial theory, I get to read about it in literature a lot. Not so much masochism as curiosity. |

| Do you like my helmet? | Thanks Jelly. That comes out to around $33 with shipping. I see that last year's model is down to £10.95 or something like that, so I might wait for this one to get to at least £14.95 or maybe under $30. I'll keep my eye on this store though. Also, I assume this is for new copies, so used ones should be getting cheaper at some point too. |
