Default Square Enix Product Regs

Hey team! A bit of an odd request here, but it's worth a shot. I started registering my Square Enix product codes the other day just on a whim (never really bothered with stuff like that other than Club Nintendo). Anyway, come to find out, I'm shockingly close to some decent rewards from their club.

I figured I'd come here and ask if any of you who aren't actively participating in their program might have some stray registration codes lying around that aren't doing you any good. This will probably only work with NA people, and the deadline is the end of March.

I'm not going to just beg like a loser: if I end up getting to the right level for a reward, I'll gift a VC game to everyone who helped. One of the prizes is a compilation soundtrack, so I'll also see about making a rip of the soundtrack and giving it to my helpers (illegally of course ).

There are only certain Square Enix games that come with reg codes, so I'll list them here. Basically, if you have one of these games and you're not going to use your code for yourself, check it out and send me a PM!

FFCC: The Crystal Bearers (Wii)
FFCC: Echoes of Time (Wii) Thanks pdRydia!

FFXI Ultimate Collection (X360/PC)
Supreme Commander 2 (X360/PC)
Order of War (PC)
The Last Remnant (PC)
Final Fantasy XIII (X360) Thanks Mickeymac!

Cheers!

Groovy man, especially if you think it'll be before April 1st, which is when the points "reset" for this prize year.

Echoes for DS has one, I traded someone couple months ago for some Wii Points (400, it was two 200 codes)

As my new sealed copy of Crystal Bearers has no such thing inside,
suppose it's NA exclusive.

Yeah Beta and SKTTR, I'm guessing it's just a NA thing since companies for some reason like to keep these rewards programs region-specific.

It's now looking like it may even be country-specific after I ran into a little trouble registering Rydia's codes. I sent S-E a message asking for clarification.

DB: I had one of my own for Echoes DS, and registered that one fine.

Spore: That would be great, thanks.

Now that I think about it, I don't know if this will work. Would the Steam version of JC2 have that somewhere?

Not entirely sure how Steam works any of this kind of thing. Theoretically, if you're paying money for a Square game, you should be eligible for Square rewards. I guess we'll see?

Well, what would I give you? A product key or something special that would be on a little card in the packaging?

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, JC2 uses Steamworks as its DRM so every copy of the game uses Steam, retail or not. I'd think they'd get the people who buy direct from Steam this magical code as well.

Edit 2: While editing this post, the little box that is supposed to save said Vote Now.

Hard copy games come with cards that have 16-digit codes on them. Steam might just give you that code?

I'll try and PM mine (FFXIII).

PS Won't Square be awfully happy that you've boughten multiple copies of some of their games?

You're only allowed one copy of each game per system, so the FFXIII code I'm looking for is X360 only alas. Is a Square rep gets back to me about the Canada/US thing, I'll see if I can get Rydia's code for that game working.

Well you're hardly likely to throw any my way then, unless you have doubles!

I haven't heard back from S-E yet, but send it to me in a PM and I'll see if it works. Thanks Mick. Did you get one with FFXI?

I got the Steam version, so I don't think it has one. Besides, I'm not touching that game until April 1st. I only get one free month, and I wanna make sure that I get the whole month to play it. I'll just PM you the FF13 number.

I think a free month entails a month time period in time, not till the end of the month. You could always look this up on some FAQs or contact Valve.

I played the trial, and it sounded like I only had until the beginning of the next month. I just know that I don't plan on paying any more than I already have, so I'm not taking my chances.

Yeah, don't worry about it Mick. Thanks for the FFXIII code. It worked, and I noted your contribution in the first post.

Still lots of games out there!

No idea, but I hope to find out, even if I don't select that for my reward.

I seem to recall reading that you get the reward of your tier + all lower tiers. SE really knows how to do their incentive loot. Must come from the game design...

I was under the impression that that clause just means if you want to choose something from a lower tier, you're allowed. Like if you're an Ultimate member, you can still select the calendar...

Blog | SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS

It looks like this **** is finally on the way this week. The bronze and silver members got their prizes already. The gold prize has the bronze and silver prizes included in it. No official confirmation yet that the ultimate prize comes with the other ones (but I hope so).

As far as I know that means I still owe Mickeymac and pdRydia their 500-600 point VC gifts. Mick, are you still looking for Bit.Trip Core?

I'll also rip the soundtrack for you folks, as promised, if I get it.

Here are some pics of the Bronze, Silver, and Gold rewards that I received, all nicely packed into a cool box. The iPod Touch was in its own normal plastic case from Apple, also included in the outer shipping box, with the "Square Enix Members" logo engraved on the back (as seen on the blog).

EDIT: Scratch that, these are the pics of the box, and the inserts on the inside of the box. I'll post the contents of the inserts next.
