Post Yossarian's World O' Stuff

Games! DVDs! Some of which belong to my wife so-don't-you-judge-me! Music!

At least some of these things are on offer on eBay! It's taken me an age to put the games on so I'll do the DVDs and CDs later.

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/ohwe...rmrsZ1QQ_fromZ

There's a mix of Wii, PS1 and PS2 (all PAL sorry NA friends) on offer.

I've put on Day of the Tentacle / Sam and Max, Silent Hill 2 Special Edition (with making of DVD), Sonic and the Secret Rings and an assortment of US Drama like Dexter Season 1 and Six Feet Under Season 2 (Region 1).

I'm going to put on another LucasArts game (Full Throttle) and Madworld on soon too.

They wouldn't let you return it?

Their website states no, it's my responsibility to check. I spoke to the shop and they guy is happy to exchange but also suggested looking into a Freeloader disc so I can play import titles.

He's going to see if the GC Freeloader disc works on the Wii and then let me know.

I've already bought a PAL version from CEX Online though so if no-one is fussed then I'll just exchange it for something else. Some of their GC prices are fearsome though.

Side question: Is the Sonic Mega Collection on the GC in full 60Hz glory? They have it for £8 and that would be the most likely candidate for part exchange.

Re: Sonic. yes, the game allows you the option to play in 50 or 60hz if you do the "hold down B" thing when booting it up (quite why nintendo made such an obcure method of selecting 60hz in early cube titles is beyond me).

Re: Freeloader. If you've performed so much as one system update on any Wii since the very first batch then it won't work. Somebody working in a videogame store really ought to know that.

Thanks for the Sonic info.

I did mention that I thought that most Wii updates would stop it from working but he still wants to check to see if the GC version gets around that.

How exactly is he going to "check" that without having your own Wii to "check" it on.

Guaranteed: it won't.

You could download the Hb channel as an alternative seeing as the latest "update" Nintendo spent a year wasting their time on has already been defeated

I don't think it'll work. I was being polite. I'd rather exchange for something else than pay for a disc that I don't really want.

Two new items for sale.

Theresia (DS)
9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS)

Both are AKSYS games filled with blood and cheerfully mental storylines.

They are both in good conditon, boxed with instructions and NA format.

I would need to weigh it properly but it should weigh around 100-150g.

http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/Pr...catId=23500532

Depending on your choice of service it will range from £2.07/
$3.26* for basic small packet rate (5 days no tracking) to the slightly faster (4 days but with signed for delivery confirmation) but more expensive Airsure rate of £7.07/$11.42*.

I'll weigh it when I get home to get a more accurate idea but every additional 20g adds approx 20-30p.

For both items it would be £3.80/$6.20 small packet airmail or £9.10/$14.83.

All items will be packed in a lovely padded jiffy bag and there's no charge for that.

*conversion rate as of today through xe.com
