Default GameCube games on Wii

Im not sure if this belongs in this forum or not so move it if you must.

I didnt own a cube and have just realised the ammount of games I havnt touched which are available to me for a cheap price at the moment.

So im just woundering if you guys can help me with a few questions.

Are all PAL GC games playable on my PAL wii, or only selected games?

Can you save GC games on wii? If not is there any possible way?

Is there anything else important I need to know about playing GC titles on wii which i may not know allready?

All PAL games work fine, I've never heard of any problems with any games. The only thing is that Freeloader doesn't work on Wii anymore (despite what it says on some boxes) so imports are impossible.

To save you need a Gamecube memory card (you can't save to the Wii), and you need a GC controller or Wavebird to play (classic controller doesn't work).

I think that's all you need to know. There are lots of great games for Gamecube, though it's often forgotton.

OK thanks for that.

I'll just have to search around for a GC pad and memory card now, hopefully they will have some at my local GAME or GameStation.

GAME has an own-brand GC pad, which is a big horrible thing that probably won't last long, but is quite cheap (about £. You can find it in their Wii section. You should be able to find some better quality, though likely second-hand, GC pads in Gamestation; mine doesn't have any, but the CEX further down the street has loads of them for about £13.

I didn't want to get a used pad, so I got one new from Nintendo USA (as NoE doesn't seem to sell them any more).
