Default Gamecube Controller

Yeah okay so
Why does it suck so bad?
I feel like half my games are hardly even playable. In Donkey Kong Country, to sprint I have to hold my index finger sideways awkwardly on the Y button and my thumb sideways on the B button for jumping. And on F-Zero X... Wait, where is the Z button on the Gamecube Controller anyway? I mean, the N64 one. I don't know how to do a spin attack in F-Zero and it is starting to anger me. Nintendo needs to release a patch to change the GC controls from VC titles. Or make that classic controller a few dollars cheaper.

The Gamecube controller is awesome, and the best normal controller Nintendo has done.
It just doesn't work well with VC so people like me have to buy a Classic Controller :P
I remember trying to play DKC myself, the position you have to hold the controller is SO awkward!

Yeah, that's what I meant. In terms of controls for it's own console, it's probably the second best Nintendo has produced next to the lovely SNES controller.

I should actually try it for N64 games actually. As long as it's not like the SNES, it could well be a lot better to control!

I don't know why we can't customise our controls for all controllers.

Wii remote A and B are swapped round. VC controller is great for SNES games, but N64 games are horrible. Especially Lylat. And NGC, I tryed it on MK 64 and hated it, so i've never tryed it on anything else.

I want a VC adapter for the Wiimote with ports for all the old controllers.
Or maybe one for each controller, would probably be a better idea.
Hopefully some third party hardware company will release this, cause I doubt Nintendo ever will.

if you look in the manual for f zero x it gives you the controls on the classic controller. the controls on the g cube pad are exactly the same.

(u have z instead of zr and zl but it doesn't matter bc they do the same thing.)

i c what ur saying about the controls needing to be changed for some games but this is a bad example. the cube pad works really well for this game.

Ever since I've gotten my classic controller I haven't even touched my GC controller for VC games. I definitely prefer the former over the latter. I haven't had any problems playing Starfox 64, Super Mario 64, Zelda: OoT, Paper Mario, or F-Zero X with it.

The GCN controller works really well with N64 games since the analog stick is at a better position. But I tend to use the Wiimote the most, and CC for SNES.

classic control is nintendo's best (2 handed) controller to date (not comparing with wiimote)
