Game....Ober?

So I've been playing Castlevania:PoR on Hard with the Level 1 cap on, right. As you can imagine I have probably died about a kazillion (or whatever ridiculously high made up figure you can come up with) times. That means I have to stare at the game over screen everytime I die which in this mode is about every minute or so, if I'm lucky. It pops up in menacing fashion sporting a snake slithering through some unlucky soul's skull (I'm guessing it's meant to be mine). In all honesty it is probably one of the coolest game over screens I have ever seen in a game, period. However, now I know it is supposed to be the letter V and is just in that oh so cool Castlevania font but everytime I read it I can't get past the fact that it looks exactly like a B. Game Ober does'nt exactly have the same shame inducing taunt effect that a proper clearly read Game Over does. Is my game truly over or is it just Ober? Why this annoys me so much I don't know but you would think while in development someone over there at Konami would have noticed this ,being such a frequently seen screen in the game. Or is it really how a V in that font is supposed to look? Ha I know how pointless this post is and feel free to delete it at any time but I just wanted to know if this bothered anybody else as much as it does me?

I wish I could link a picture but I'm at work and have extremely limited access to the net ( It's pretty much just this site and a few others that work.).

Well Japanese doesn't have a 'v' sound so maybe it's a case of 'engrish'. That's the only thing I can think of without seeing a picture.
