Default G6-Real VS G6-Lite

Ok if you don't know anything about DS Homebrew than don't reply to this Thread.

Can someone tell me whats better the G6-Real or the G6-Lite?
So far what I have looked up is that the G6-Lite is better if you don't have a GBA Flash Card.

G6-Real G6-Lite

I don't know anything about DS Homebrew but I answer anyway your thread because I think I know this boards.

I don't think there is anyone (apart thehive) involved in homebrew software here.

So, I think the kind of answer you could get from a forum like this would be more from a point of view of pirate gaming than from the view of the home developer.

You should look for a dedicated forum. I find it a bit strange that you're interested in homebrew software and don't ask such questions in other boards that treat the argument.

: D (Yes, I'm laughing)

Good advice know it's not likely that anyone will reply to this Thread but I never said anything about pirate gaming, Like getting pictures and videos on my DS.

Um.

Off the record G6 REAL:
Auto DLDI patching, PDF and Word reading Capibilities and good compatibilty with Applications (Like Txtwriter, Beup(MSN)) and good Media file support.

But I think we should never speak of this again. A person got a warning once because they claimed to owning an M3.

Also, although the homebrew scene is a great stomping ground for hobbyist programmers to practice, it is a grey area in Legal terms because of its links to the Rom and Piracy community. I'm in favour (but not linked to) Homebrew Applications and independant games, Not Piracy.

Here's a good site for Homebrew and Applications, But definently NO Pirated games:

www.gba-nds.com

And the Homebrew Archive:
www.nds-zone.com

To run a SLOT2 Solution (That would be the Lite) you need a bypass card, which costs money, thus adding to your total. But SLOT1 (The Real) runs on its own. SLOT1 cards tend to be a lot more user friendly, and a lot less piratable (due to their inability to run GBA games.) Remember, Piracy is wrong, and Undermines the exact reason VC-reviews exists.

Happy to help

Just stay away from them Roms. It's a gateway software. You start them and soon you'll be on Cracked software. And who could guess what would be next! ISOs?!? Warez?!!? Thats a Baaaaaad road....

But seriously, With a G6 Real you're DS would be comparable to an iPod Nano, or Touch even as a media player, if you got the 16Gigabit option.

Essentially. A PSP With Touch controls. If you get an application called 'DSOrganize' coded by a really talented guy who goes by DragonMinded, you can turn it into a PDA as well, with an excellent web-browser (Better than the Opera one). The only thing is, I think The G6 only plays a certain type of Video file, but luckily a converter is usually packaged with the instructions disc.

And if you can flawlessly configure your wifi, check out a guy called HtheB, who created an MSN application called Beup, which is near perfect, but hard t setup if you don't have the right settings.

And no Roms.
