Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles : Wii Ware Video

Yay a video of a Wii Ware game. There are probably some others out there but i havent seen any. But im a fan of FF and this game looks like its shaping up nicely. Graphics look very impressive. Not much gameplay shown. Just some walking around. Ive never played the original FF on gamecube though so if anyone can tell me what its like that would be good. Like does the game have a battle system similar to the other games? Or is there a battle system at all?

Well, I don't know about how this one will be but the battlesystem in FFCC was rather crippled since it was "optimized" for the GBA which meant that you could only use a three-hit combo, this made the battles really repetive. Magic was also crippled since you couldn't be in "caster mode" and use melee attacks at the same time. But even considering these faults it was a really fun partyplaying game.

About this new one...can it really be on WiiWare? It would use a considerable amount of blocks. The harddrive must be announced soon.

Well, I would advise you to start with the ninth one on PSOne since it's the most complete game, even though FFVII has a better story. Crystal Chronicles isn't following the FF recipe that much, it's a more action oriented game. So the main part, the story, is rather thin compared to an ordinary FF.

I agree. Start there. The ninth is the best in the 3D series IMO. It might be the best in the series but i can decide between FF6 and FF9. Its the most simple and doesnt use all the complicated crap that is in FF8 and i enjoyed it more than FF7.
