Default It's not just Outer-Region, Cross-Country Gift purchases aren't possible either!

I don't know if it's possible, yet, to send gifts over regions.

So a) let's find out and b) if it's possible, let's get what the others didn't get.

it doesn't work.

You'll get an error message.
I should have known better.

Tested and posted about this ages ago.

Didn't hard post it, 'cause Drake'll do that on the VC: A.

But either way, it still SUCKS!

It's even a Country Lock, not even Region.

And sorry for useless threads.

Edit: Where did you post about this?

It was on the chat. And I didn't mean it was useless (I'd have deleted it had I thought so. Ah the power of Modship ), I just meant I could've saved you the bother of checking.

So it's a country lock?! Then what's the damned point of the Gifts?

Total stupidity IMHO.

Absolutely (It seems you have power, could you change the title to: "Inter-Region Gift Purchase (not possible)", thanks).

At least you can change your country riskfree as long as you stay on the same continent (Uk-Switzerland-Germany is no prob). But still no axelay for Europe.

Can do

Yeah, you can, but since the last update it wipes any points you have if you go through with it.

Ah, didn't realise yours was Inter, I stupidly read it as Cross (Skim read it and just saw "region purchases" and assumed ).

Anyway, you fine with that title?

Thought it added more emphasis and shock on being unable to send a mate in Holland a game from the U.K.

But I'll change it again if you aren't happy with it

May change it to "It's not just Inter-Region, Cross-Country Gift purchases aren't possible either!" (Just copy text between "s)

I knew about Australia, but it since the Everybody Votes Channel, isn't it?

Cross-Country, not region, the title doesn't make sense, somehow.
But thanks anyway. G'night.

And it still sucks! This Region Locking Stuff!

Yep, this is truly ****ing retarded.

I'm in Canada, but I couldn't send a gift to my friend in the U.S. or receive one from him, so I ended up just changing my region to U.S.

I didn't lose any points (I BETTER NOT HAVE), but I think I got a message that I'd lose any gifts I was set to receive before the change.

I hope the ****heads at Nintendo fix this idiotic "glitch."

Is anyone genuinely disappointed about this? It was a pointless idea all along, why not just buy people Wii points? I can't see that many people would use this.

Because you cant buy 500, 600, 800, 900, 1000 or 1200 pt Wii cards.

All the people on my Wii friends list are in the US, Canada or Australia. They're all friends from online, and I would have appreciated being able to buy them at least (up to) a SNES game for Chrimbo (hey, money's tight!). I can't afford to send all the people I wanted to gift a game to a 2000pts card.

It annoying that we don't even get to trade VC games across regions, but to different countries in a region?! I can still give a game to one of my friends from Ireland though Good quick fix

As well as that it must be noted that Wii point cards are region coded too.

So, if you wanted to give people Wii Points then you'd have to buy the card in their country/region which is the reason why this channel SHOULD have been a good idea.. but hooray for Nintendo living up to their usual region locking ******* tactics _

Sorry. Wii can't copy and paste. I knew it looked wrong But I think it finally reads right

Because Inter-Region and Cross-Country are the same. So this informs everyone of both sucky things

Yes, totally gutted because of the 3rd reply I'm about to make.

Only good thing is if me and lil bro went halves on 1,000 points for we both wanted a NES game but nothing else, then I could send him his game.

Yeah, we were gonna do a VC: A secret santa. I'd worked it all out. And anyone who wanted to could've partaken.

Thanks Ninty.
