| I said tennis, because soccer/football really angers me; you'll run for the ball a guy boots the ball to the other side of the field and than you run back there then some guy boots the ball to the other side of the field... |

| Do you like my helmet? | This is certainly an odd comparison... may I ask what motivates you to compare these two sports? I think soccer is a lot of fun to play with friends because it's more team-oriented and more people can be involved. It's also exhausting, doing all that running. I think tennis is probably more fun to watch, most of the time. |

| I play tennis a lot. So this is an easy choice for me. I never really cared for soccer. |

| I find myself playing tennis far more than soccer these days, but those are two hard sports to compare to each other because they differ in many ways. I enjoy soccer because it's very fast paced and you're always on the move. I also enjoy the physical aspects of the game, it can get intense. On the other hand, I really enjoy tennis because it's all about how you hit the ball and manuever your racket. If you're a good server it can make the game a ton of fun. I'd say i'm 50/50 on this topic. I'd also say both sports are equally as fun to watch. |

Because both of these games are lesser popular and not as loved as Football and Basketball. Oh and plus I think that Tennis is amazing because its easier and not as exhausting and its amazing

| But this is the internet, not America. Therefore Football (to give it its proper name) is the most popular sport in the world and the majority of people don't really give a hoot about that other game you pinched the name for (the one that's basically Rugby but played wearing small suits of armour) |

| Rip Van Fish | This is where name confusion comes in... so let me outline the differences... Soccer = Football (spherical ball) Football (elliptical ball) = Rugby League Reading all these posts gives me a headache; I don't know which sports you're talking about! |

| Nope, hence the smiley Iggy, I'm talking about the football you play with your feet, known as soccer in the US. That IS the most popular sport in the world. Last edited by Betagam7; 6th November 2008 at 03:06 PM. |

| Monty Mole | I voted Football. Heh heh. But choosing purely between tennis and soccer, I'll definitely choose Tennis. I love all recket sports, and despise soccer. Easy choice for me. |

| Monty Mole | Don't even get me started on pickle ball. My friends and I mixed pickle ball and dodge ball and came up with one helluva intense sport called Death Paddles (Probably the best sport ever created). |

| Banzai Bill | Sounds cool I want to hear about it too. Dodgeball is amazing, too bad my racketsports teacher doesn't let us play it in class. |

| For being a dutchman and fan of PSV Eindhoven I have to say soccer PS. For the people in America who think soccer is a womans game, just watch the movie GOAL The impossible dream ! Players get drilled here in Europe to be the best. The beauty of soccer is, that you can' t make too much fouls and must win it by great technique and teamspirit. | I love soccer! I play about 2 times a week in the winter and around 3 times a week in the summer. I enjoy it because it takes athletic skill mixed with creativity to be good. |

| Would you be in an under 17 league? If so, I can't imagine there not being enough interest. That sucks though. Right now I'm driving 35 minutes one way to play soccer because our local indoor soccer company is in a huge Real Estate mess. It's getting old driving but it's worth it. |

| I don't watch either sport all that often, but I suppose I like soccer a bit more. I played the game for a few years as a kid (got pretty good at it too) and I absolutely eat up the World Cup, but I can enjoy and appreciate a great tennis match too.
