| Who is excited for the new baseball season? I'm a longtime Oakland A's fan! Too bad they lost so many players from last year. They are always rebuilding! unlike the dynasty in the late 70s and late 80s/early 90s... this year its probably be Detroit, Boston, Anaheim(I still refuse to call them LA even tho theyre my rivals I got a good friend whos a fan) and some suprise team (hopefully A's!) in the AL Im predicting the obvious LA dodgers (I hate them with a passion but with the weak NL west theyre the obvious choice), Mets, and the other 2 spots would be a toss up...

| I was wondering... Does baseball have any "impact" outside of the US and Japan? |

| Banzai Bill | I don't think so. But I did witness the Angels get their asses handed to them on Monday. The Twins are looking good even though Hunter and Santana left. The metrodome was packed, too. I haven't seen it so full. I've never closely followed baseball before but I think I will this season. |

| Go Philly's! I'm a fan of the Phillies, even though I don't really watch it that much or keep up with the stats. It's a hometown thing.

| Lakitu | Kinda the same with me and the Cubs. I don't really have time to watch the games, but I'd never turn them off, and I have great fun watching baseball given the chance.

| I've been an O's fan all my life. I was scarred before the season started but so far they are playing better then I thought they would. They are clearly in a rebuilding phase but they are playing well. The bullpen is really playing good. The Eric Bedard trade is looking better and better every day! |

AL West- I guessed the Angels and was correct, they had a 100 win season AL Central- looks like either twins or white sox, depending on who wins the last game today, I didnt predict correctly on this, picking tigers. AL East- DEVIL RAYS?? nobody could have predicted this without a time machine! I'd say I'm half correct, predicting a suprise team making the playoffs. AL Wild Card- I picked Boston to make it so that's another notch. NL West- I picked Dodgers before they even got Manny Ramirez and My predicition was correct (I knew Torre could handle the egos on that team) NL Central- I called it a toss up, Cubs won, I'd call it a draw NL East- I picked Mets but they was eliminated a couple days ago so I'm wrong on this one...but not by much NL Wild Card- This was another Toss up (Brewers) so another draw. I made 3 and a half correct predicitions out of 8 total with 2 wrong picks and 2 draws. Not too bad?

If the A's kept all the players they let go in the last 5 years we'd be contending for a championship! Guess Billy Beane is waiting for the Angels to have a off year or something?

| yeah they might....but they couldn't afford to keep the players they let go over the past 5 years. There is a hand full of teams that can spend and spend and buy players, the rest of the teams have to be creative and smart about their rosters. I think Billy Beane is one of the best at doing this. Before this year, the A's were competive for many seasons which is more then you could say for 75% of the league. Look at the playoffs. The only teams out of the 8 teams that made it that aren't a big market team that spends $ are the Rays and Brewers. Those two teams have built from the ground up and added when they could. |

| Good, you guys needed a new stadium. I don't even like to watch games on TV held there. I can't imagine what it's like for you and other Twin fans. I'm lucky/unlucky because my team has one of the best parks in US but the team has seen better days. |

| Banzai Bill | Really, I don't mind the metrodome, but the idea of a new stadium is appealing. It'll be nice to see some change for the Twins. |

| When you have known no better I can understand your feeling about the Metrodome. But when I watch games on TV that take place there, I just cringe. I've been to minor league parks that I like better. I think what I'm trying to say is that there is a difference in playing in a stadium versuses playing at a ball park. Yeah, they're kind of the same, but try telling that to O's fans, Pirate fans, Cardinal fans, Seatle fans, Padre fans, Redsox fans, Cub fans. Actually, go talk to an Astro fan because they would know about this better then anyone. They went from playing in a horrible dome/stadium to playing in a "ball park". I don't know what kind of field you guys are getting but I hope it's not another dome or mega stadium. |

| The Oakland A's have been asking for a stadium for a longggg time! and what do we get? the Raiders (NFL) moved in and they built a towering seat and luxury boxes that we call Mt. Davis Hopefully the new stadium proposal works out...

| Well, the whole Red Sox thing does greatly bother me, but not a huge fan of Drew Barrymore or Jimmy Falon. Now Major League is a GREAT movie |
