Default Last Movie you watched and your rating

You heard the title! Tell me the last film you saw, and your rating for it

Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie

I liked it! It helped that I was a huge fan of the game, but the movie itself was great as well. Lots of dramatic, well directed fights, and just all round enjoyable to watch. A nice bit of fan service with Ms Li there as well

8/10

The Simpsons Movie

It really was just a elongated version of the TV series but it gave me a few chuckles. Worth seeing.

Watched out of curiosity...loved it. Stick with it the language is penetrable and the film is one of the best I've seen this year.

You can say crap now

But that's why I haven't gone to see it. Everyone's raving about, but I seen Bay say that it was more romcom than action. And as a kids film, I doubt the com is anything special. Especially special enough to make me laugh.

I'm more into Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Dave Chappele etc...

Real hardcore stand ups

Yay! I was getting tired of saying cráp

Last film I watched was Hot Fuzz, because I'm always watching it!

Hot Fuzz

10/10

6 months ago I never thought Shaun of the Dead could have been bettered, but it has been by this simply awesome movie!
I didn't find it really funny the first time I saw it, but when I got the DVD I realised how hilarious it actually is.

It's funny you say that. Hot Fuzz didn't strike me as the greatest successor to the wonderful Shaun of the Dead which I have watched over and over again (one of my favourite films ever!) - However I too watched this again on DVD and I think I got more of the subtleties. Little things were making me laugh out loud! Great film, a real grower. 10/10

I'm looking forward to the next film Simon Pegg is in - Run, Fat Boy, Run

It looks ace, I really like the Irish guy from Black Books too, he cracks me up. Let's hope Pegg's fat mate gets a look in!

Transformers-2.5/5

Its was just ok. It took TOO long to get to the good parts. The thing was the glasses and the cube was weird for instance.

Young Frankenstein (finally, I managed to find a DVD and see it in original)

Can't give a score to the satisfaction of finally knowing jokes like
Walk this way
Werewolves
I got nobody

Fantastic, the best Brooks movie, I should at least cite "Silent Movie" for it is a lot original and courageous.

transformers. 3.5 out of 5.

enjoyable but could have lost about half an hour in editing and been better for it. also 3 negative black stereo types and jazz being the only transformer to die. tut tut.

Last movie seen at the cinema: Transformers. I'd give it 3/5. The robot bits were good, but there weren't enough of them, the characters were paper-thin, and the plot was nonsense.

On telly, it was Educating Rita, which I'll also give 3/5. Despite great performances, it's a bit heavy-handed and not nearly as clever as it thinks it is.

Mr. Brooks 3.5/5

It's kind of rare to see Costner in such a dark role. Was a good watch. Wasn't too impressed by Demi Moore, though.

Nowhere near as bad as some would make you believe, though Cage's hamming it up does grate after a while.

A classic. Such pathos, such action. All this and a career-defining, shoulda-won-an-Oscar performance from Guttenberg too just means instant classic!

Pfft, you must have been watching a different movie to me!

If you like Care-Bears movies, then this one is right up your alley. With the exception of a little Three Stooges shtick, everything else was just way too sugary-sweet.

Guttenberg's obvious talents are wasted in this lazy script. "let's rip the front seats out and sit in the back" - hmmmm where I have heard that before?

The worst part is the ham acting by the robot himself. Give me a break, along with that douche bag robot from lost in space he's set the robot movement back years!

If you're looking for an 80's techno-gizmo-kid's type movie, give Flight of the Navigator a try, much better!

While I agree with your call on 'Flight of the Navigator', you're lucky I'm much too lazy to report your frankly slanderous and bullying posts to a mod.

I think the rest of your review constitutes nothing more than big words for such a little man.

Pony up little fella, you'll find I'm more than up to the task of ramming those plastic disks where the sun will never see them...

Wow, our forum bot is pretty opinionated...for a forum bot!

Harry Potter And the Order of the Phoenix

Typical, Magical fun. The special effects were superb, the humour was weak ("Dumbledore's got styyyyyyle!" Err...) and the action was enjoyable. Did get a little dull in places though, but not a bad effort seeing how it's based on the weakest book in the series (IMO!).

Fantastic film, much better than Shaun, this has a real ending! That's entertaining! Shaun rocks UNTIL they goto the Windchester IMO.

Thunderbirds. 1 / 5.

it was bad. thunder birds bratty brother is a poor little rich boy. he acts like a tit for an hour and a half while the friends he dose not deserve drag him kicking and screaming to the final show down were he gets to play hero.

gets one star because Sophia Myles (lady p) is hot.

Live Free or Die Hard - 4.5/5

The trailer made me a bit skeptical; fortunately, my doubts were unwarranted. A great action flick. I still expected for Justing Long to break out into "Hi, I'm a Mac!" at any point. =D

I know it's "Last Movie" but I haven't been able to get on a Laptop, so...

1408. 9-10.

Fantastic thrillier/chiller horror from King starring John Cusack. It's tense, has a great story, and unlike most horror flicks, IT HAS AN ENDING!

This flick is fantastic in almost everyway. Great script, great idea/plot and great end. It's also eerie/creepy and can make you jump at times. IMO it's a must see.

Evan Almighty. 5-10. Pretty dull, Carell is much funnier than this. Evan has a few good jokes, but the possibillities of what could've been done are quite numerous. Sadly they never take a hold of that chance and make something out of it. John Goodman stars as the evil senator and just isn't funny because it's not a funny role, shame as Goodman is usually a laugh riot.

Lethal Weapons 1-4. 10-10.

Fantastic action comedy flicks with some of the best action sequences ever seen. Mel Gibson is fantastic as Riggs and the films are just classic, must be watched by every man on the planet!

High octane thrills with a great plot to back it up, LOL comedy that never undermines the films at all. Great acting done by fine actors and actresses.

Sorry, I know they seem rushed, but that's because they are. If you want more in depth sum ups, just say and i'll try my best to please.

Rush Hour 3

After how good the first two where I was thoroughly dissapointed.
Not at one point in the film did I laugh (without forcing it not to be left out).

The highlight of the film was model from france who does them Marks & Spencers adverts.

2.5/10

Joan of Arc: The Messenger

I haven't seen the film in ages, but I've been a little stressed tonight so I decided to stick it on, and it's much better than I remember!
I can't be bothered posting a mini review at this time of night, but it's a great film, I highly reccomend it.

5*

heavy metal: FAKK II 4 out of 5.

a sequel to a movie based on the spirit of an old comic. its animated (not anime) an one of those cartoons for grown men who are still boys really (i.e. me ).

the story line is a by the by revenge plot, but a good excuse for lots of fights, gun battles cartoon splatter gore and women in tight leather at the most.

highly enjoyable pointless entertainment.

similar movies: dead leaves, violence jack.

The Hills Have Eyes

It's a great film for Horror fans. Plenty of blood, plenty of un-necessary violence and tons of jumps. Great

I heard a lot of bad stuff about part 2, but that ones just as good in my opinion.
(I am talking remakes here btw)
I'd give 'em 4*s each.

The last movie I saw was The Bourne Ultimatum
I'd already watched the first two (Identity and Supremacy) and it was just as good a the other two if not better. Non-stop action the whole way through, with some very smart twists and turns throughout. The only thing thats not good in it in places is the Camera work (a little bit shaky at times), but a must-see for action fans, especially those who have seen the previous installments. 9.5/10

I think the camera work was deliberate.

Belly of the Beast 3/5 don't expect much story from this one however if you just want martial arts action and don't care about realistic physics then this is quite a good film.

I saw Superbad twice this past weekend.

9.5/10

Easily the best comedy to come out since the 40 Year Old Virgin, may have even surpassed that. I definitely recommend that everyone see this, you will cry from laughing.

Live free or die hard 3 out of 5.

very enjoyable. but to long. don't know why directors feel they have to make every single movies more than two hours these days.

some nice action set pieces. but extracting the urine as far as believability goes.

similar movies: Die hard, Lethal weapon 4
