| Banzai Bill | While it did disregard the game, I think this is one of those common cases where - if it wasn't Hitman related, and just a movie by itself, it would have been passable. |

| I watched License to Wed last night with my wife.......not cool. This movie isn't even one of those romantic comedies that are good enough to watch. Every actor or actress has done something better in their careers. License to Wed: 2/10 |

| Just watched Crash. Very good movie. It covers people's attitudes to racism in present day Los Angleles and how they act upon their prejudice. 8.5/10 |

| Watched Beowulf on DVD last week. 5/10. I think we've reached the point where that kind of photorealistic animation stops being impressive and starts just being sorta creepy. I liked what they did with Grendel but overall the characters were completely uninteresting and the action scenes felt like an exercise. Lame. Also saw Michael Clayton. 8/10. Smart, understated, tightly-constructed legal drama. In any other year Clooney would've won the Oscar. |

Cloverfield is one of the most realistic Monster movies i've ever seen. It was a bit slow to get into and the ending felt a little lacking and quite sudden but otherwise a great movie. 8.5/10 Quick Change stars Bill Murray as the main character in one of his best ever performances and only film which he has been the director (although Franklin Howard was also director). It's cleverly done, it's got a good cast in there and it's really funny. 9/10 | |

| Just finished For a few Dollars More - 7.5/10 I loved The Good, the Bad and the Ugly but was lukewarm on A Fistful of Dollars. FAFDM is a decent middle installment in the Dollars trilogy. It's runtime is a little long for my taste, but that's what Sergio Leone's style is all about. |

| George Lucas has actually had little say in Indy 4, I think he was only on the set for a couple days and otherwise he has only created the story. He wanted to shoot the movie in digital, but Spielberg overruled him and shot it in regular film. I wouldn't worry about Lucas too much. |

| "Creating the story" seems like a pretty big role to me, and anyway producers have a lot more influence over a production than people commonly recognize. The special features for the Indy trilogy DVD suggest that Spielberg and Lucas consider eachother co-creators of the franchise, so I'm guessing Spielberg will allow a fair amount of Lucas' creative input, which of course worries me given his recent track record. I dunno, I hope you're right, but I'm edgy. And I still think the title is really lame. |

| Has anyone noticed an increased lack of originality lately? Think about it as we've more adaptations, Remakes and sequels than before in film history and half of them are rubbish. I can see why this happens but all i want is more original decent films. anyone else on the same page as me? |

| Honestly? The last two years have been good years for movies, and I didn't notice any less originality than usual. I mean, there's a lot of derivative trash, but there's always been that. As time goes on, we remember the great films and forget the trash, so that any given year looks better as we get further away from it. Also, we're coming up on the summer movie season, and summer has always relied heavily on sequels, adaptations of comic books, etc. |

| The Good, The Bad And the Ugly. Amazing film. The only western I like. (other than Blazing Saddles, which I watched before it. 10/10 film) Amazing story, awfully unsynced dubbing that you can have a good laugh at, great performance by Clint. Great music. Mint end. 10/10. Quote:
We have had some blinding films (Bond, 300 etc...), but they've been few and far between IMO.

| Do you like my helmet? | This is freakin' uncanny. I just picked up this movie yesterday to watch with Mrs. Yogurt tonight. Will post my thoughts after viewing. Not a movie per se, but I've just finished watching season 1 of Flight of the Conchords. Absolutely hilarious. It's one of my favourite short-form comedy series now. And they're actually good musicians, so that helps! |

| Well, Harrison has always been in Indy movies and knows how to play the part. I'm just not sure Shia, with little acting experience of Indiana Jones caliber, can pull off his role. I'm currently re-watching some of my favorite James Bond movies, including From Russia with Love (7.5/10) and Goldfinger (8/10). |

| Saw three movies this week: The Warrior King: 9/10 Just like Ong-Bak, The Warrior King provides a brilliant movie experience. Tony Jaa takes out half of Austrailia with his Muai Thai fighting style, including a spectacular fight against Nathan Jones. Reign Over Me: 7/10 Sad, extremely depressing movie. Starring Adam Sandler. It's worth watching, but only to see Sandler's good attempt at a serious role, playing an emotionally distant 9/11 widower with an infatuation for the game 'Shadow of the Collosus'. V for Vendetta: 8/10 Good movie, quite long, fight scenes are excellent, though there aren't many of them. Popularized the 'Government should fear their people' approach, as well as those Guy Fawkes masks. Somewhat depressing, but still good. Also, you get to see Stephen Fry have the living tar beat-out of him.

| Spirited Away: 9/10 Delightful Japanese film, I won't give any plot details away, because I really think everyone should see it. Also, try to see a subtitled Japanese version instead of an English dubbed-over version, as the dub versions make subtle changes. Overall, a great movie.

| Spirited Away is one of the only anime movies that I like. The rest annoy the hell out of me. Really, anything by Studio Ghibli is fantastic. 9/10 Edit: 1000th post.
