Speed Racer (5/10): Wow, strange movie. Cheesy story, annoying side characters and soooo many colors you either get eye cancer or fall into diabetic coma. But all of this stays true to the manga/anime it's based upon.
If you have the ability to survive the first 20 min. of the movie you actually might enjoy it.

Are you saying that Queen Latifah makes you feel frisky? Because that would make you a very strange individual.

The last move I saw was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:

I give it a 7/10. Good for the most part, but the ending was weird.

I guess if Queen Latifah was actually in the movie

......but she's not so I would say a strange individual is someone who see people in movies that aren't there.

I think he's thinking about the movie Last Holiday starring Queen Latifah...and others. That or he had one too many cheez-puffs and is now seeing Queen Latifah hallucinations...

Oh and I just watched Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 in a Kill Bill two volume marathon.
Or should I say double feature?

Needless to say, I give both these movies a 10/10 for being awesome, tongue in cheek, funny, homages to everything I love.
The first is an awesome kung fu action flick, the second an equally awesome Spaghetti Western kungu flick. Whats not to love?

Zack and Miri Make a Porno - 6/10. A few good laughs, but all in all this is not one of Kevin Smith's better movies; the dialogue feels even more scripted and self-consciously filthy than usual, the story is really predictable and retreads the emotional territory of his earlier films, and overall the movie just relies too much on the subject matter for its laughs. (Oooh, naughty porn film names! Hilarious!) There's one incredibly great (and incredibly gross) gag late in the film that almost makes it worth it, but still, I say only see it if you really like Kevin Smith. I do really like Kevin Smith, and I liked this, but many won't.

Changeling - 9/10. One of the better dramas I've seen this year. Angelina Jolie is actually pretty great in a tough role that requires her to spend most of the movie suffering and crying. That's hard to pull off since it can rapidly get boring, but she makes the character strong and makes us believe in her desire to keep going, even as the goals of her struggle change. I'm purposely avoiding revealing the plot; it doesn't have any Million-Dollar-Baby twists, doesn't suddenly become an "issue movie" late in the film, but it's still better to go in cold, not knowing the (true) story before you see it.

Role Models - 8/10. I was surprised by how much I liked this. It's essentially a formulaic buddy comedy, but the writing is sharper than usual and the performences are all first rate. So, while it lacks the edge of the recent Judd Apatow school of films (despite having many of his regular cast members) the characters are all likable and the dialogue is always funny. It has that 40-Year-Old-Virign way of being both raunchy and sweet at the same time.

Yeah, that was the one I was referring to. I get Last Holiday and The Holiday confused all the time.

And the funny thing is, I don't eat cheez-puffs that often.

Just watched Eden Log.

Does anyone like movies where u think wtf??? This is a nice french movie
about a mine and one man, who is put deep down the mine with no memories left. He fights his way to the ground. Really disturbing movie. The story is told like in Half Life. The cam looks like Gears of War.

If u like movies like event horizon, dante 01, you will like Eden Log.

Watched Quantum of Solace last night. It was a solid film. Lots of action. Like the previous Craig Bond flick, it ditched the Bond formulas and clichés and it did alright. Judy Dench was excellent as always. The plot was OK, which is good as far as Bond films go. The Bond girls were hotties as well. Not much to complain about, but it's nothing Earth-shattering, and it's not the best of the franchise.

Terminator 3

This was truly a poor film. I wasn't expecting much and still it managed to disappointment me, Utterly lacking in tension or a sense of menace. 4/10

Planet Terror

Alright, some nice gags but it was a little too cheesy for me, 6/10

Just watched Funny Games U.S.

"My Aunt Anny send me out to borrow some eggs..."
"Lets play a lil game... I bet u all be dead by 9 am, you bet u will still be alive..."
Two sick young men take a wealthy family hostage and play "funny" games with them. It's a psychological nightmare for the Family.
When u think it's over it ain't over yet!!!
No gore... just pure terror!!!

Good Movie!!!

Just watched Baby Mama starring Tina Fey and that other one. Lame formulaic comedy that's low on actual funny moments. It somehow manages to create comedic situations and then can't get it up when it comes to jokes. It reminded me of one of those light summer romantic comedies for teens that does neither genre well.

Stardust
This one has certainly become one of my favorites. Quite surprising, seeing that I never was taken by the trailer. No, it's not the best movie ever, but I very much like the mixture of fantasy, comedy, and romance that this film consists of. It all works really well together. I'll be reading the book in the next few days. 5/5

Becoming Jane

I really enjoyed this one, even if the conclusion was a bit of a bummer. Then again, real life is more prone to have fewer happy endings. A good period piece. Anne Hathaway surely has grown into a gorgeous woman. 4/5

Fido
Yes, it's all kind of cheesy and ridiculous, but that's what makes the movie so fun because it doesn't take itself at all very seriously. Here's to zombie love and friendship! 4/5

Last movie I watched was Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull.

What was he thinking??? Seriously what's happening to you Stephen Spielberg??? Since War of the Worlds you are just producing to far fetched movies. Aliens in a Jones flick??? WTF??? Harrison Ford is around 70, Indiana still kicks ass like a 18 year old martial artist... Nobody will believe the fridge seen. The horrible jokes make the movie even more redicilous.
Nice Attempt but failed Stephen...

I watched another movie, this time Stay Alive.

Stay Alive is about a videogame. If people die in the game, they die the same way in real life. Pretty disturbing movie. Nice Next-Gen Grafics for PS2 ^^
I enjoyed the movie. It is pretty decent.

Quantum of Solace - 7/10. Viewed in the context of the larger, 22-movie long franchise, this is an entirely solid and satisfying Bond film, with an excellent lead performance by Craig, whose steely toughness still dominates the movie and reaffirms his status as the best Bond since Connery. Yogurt is right about Judie Dench - her M is much more important to these movies than her predecessor, and provides a much-needed check on Bond's drive and impulsiveness. Nobody will complain that there's not enough action, and these scenes are frenetic and intense - the director, Marc Forster, has a shaky-cam style that reminded me of the Bourne films. But still, after Casino Royale, I have to say that this just felt too much like a traditional Bond movie: big action setpieces, some forgettable enemy with a forgettable scheme, hot chicks who have no real relationship with the main character, and no sense of danger, no sense that anything's really at stake. The last film was a breath of fresh air, Bond was cocky and flawed rather than superhuman, the love story had a real tragic dimension. If you didn't like that, you'll probably like this film more. But I did like that, so I was a little disappointed by this one.

Superman: Doomsday 2/10 I hated this movie so much that I didn't even finish watching it. They got everything wrong. The voice acting was bad, the story was butchered, and they managed to mess up everything that the comic book does right. I think what happened was that they used all the budget on the actors doing the voice work and blew their budget.

The Nameless:

This is supposed to be a spanish horror flick.
The story is about a lil girl who got abducted. The perants think she
is dead but she isn't...

The horror elements are mainly just scary images like a girl running around or pictures of spiders. These scary images have no effect on the plot, they are for the audiance only. The lights are at some point not very realistic.
The Ending is the best of the movie. Think Seven just with a little more twist on it... ;-P

My Rating 4/10

Yes but I didn't remember diddly squat. You really can't say the plot wasn't a little disjointed even if you did watch the first one though. The action was swell though.

Bad Boys (Will Smith/M. Lawrence) 8,5/10 Hilarious action movie.

Bad Boys 2 (Will Smith/M. Lawrence) 7,5/10 Minor follow up of version 1 (too many gunfire/ less comedy and not so impressive storyline) but an 'ok' movie.

Pitch Black (Vin Diesel) 8,5/10 Good sci fi/thriller based on a man (Riddick) with above natural human strength and the ability to see things in the dark.

Chronicles of Riddick (Vin Diesel) 9,0/10 The revealing of the native backgrounds of the man Riddick himself.

Ken Burns The Civil War: 10/10

I watched this when it first came out when I was a boy but I didn't remember much of so I decided to watch it again. I just finished watching it yesterday. It took me about 4-5 days to finish it.

It's awesome. If you like history then you will like this movie. Yeah it doesn't go into great details about every aspect of the war but it does a great job of capturing the entire war. If you are curious about US's Civil War but you know little about it then this if for you.

Dude, did you watch the original uncut version of Return of the Joker, or did you see the censored safe for the Kiddies version that plays on Cartoon Network?

They only changed two scenes in the movie, but the uncut one is still way cooler than the censored one.
Especially the flashback scene. The censored one loses a lot of the punch of the original.

Did you dig the uncensored one? Like I said, those 2 scenes with the Joker really make the movie for me.

Anyways

Bad Santa- now, I tend to like my humor like I like my coffee- dark, but not so black I feel like commiting suicide. And Bad Santa is pretty damn bleak, which would be fine...if it was funny.
