| Thank you for smoking (9/10): lol, really enjoyed that one. The Last King of Scotland (9/10): Great movie. I seem to have a lucky streak with my movie choices recently, no bad movies at all. |

| Spirited Away: 6/10 After finishing this movie I can honestly say that I did not like this as much as everyone else seemed to like it. It's not my favorite animated movie but it's by far, not the worst either. It's worth watching. |

| The Simpsons Movie: 9/10 Utterly hilarious but misses out on the extra point because it doesn't have that story esscence like the TV show. But ultimately the greatest animated program in the world. |

| Scary Movie- It's not nearly as bad as it's sequels (and truly terrifiying clones) would lead you to believe. It actually made me laugh every now and then. Not a great movie, but a stupidly pleasent spoof. 6/10

| Do you like my helmet? | The Kite Runner, 8.5/10. A great take on the situation in Afghanistan from the point of view of a character driven plot. Very good movie. Kind of depressing (as it should be, given the subject matter). Also good in that it's not a mindless glorification of military action / action shooterfest war movie. Hrau! |

| Do you like my helmet? | Mrs. Yogurt just read the book, which is why we watched the movie in the first place. She came to the same conclusion as you. I don't have time to read extra-curricular books right now, but it's something I have an interest in for when I have time. |

anyways, just watched Mean Girls. 8/10-Much funnier than I ever expected. In fact, i'd call it pretty hilarious (not quite Judd Apatow or Monty Python hilarious, but very funny non-the-less), and it made me actualy like Lindsey Lohan (in the movie at least)! Not to mention Tina Fey is in it, and Tina Fey makes any movie better. But I gotta ask, are girls really that mean to each other?

| The Simpsons Movie 9/10 I think it's a brilliant movie not one part in the whole movie I found boring I wish however that the storyline had a little more depth but the hilarious factor is 10/10 |

| I didn't think much of baby mama at all, i would say (4/10) The simpsons movie was great, but I can think of individual episodes that had just as many laughs, which disappointed me a little (7/10) |

| RV: 5/10 I watched this on TV because I never saw it before. I thought it looked kind of funny when I saw the trailer but I always thought it also looked a little corny. I was right, while it's not the worst movie in the world, it's also not the best. It's like all those movies TV channels play over and over again on a Sunday afternoon.....you find yourself watching because you have nothing else to do. |

| Pi- Very cool movie! I hear its like a cyberpunk version of Eraserhead...but I've never seen Eraserhead, so I can't say. What I can say though is I've never seen a movie that has so succesfully explored the fine line between Genius and Insanity. It's a fascinating, and kinda creepy movie about obsession and paranoia. And its also one of the few movies to get me interested in math! Who knew math could find a way to predict the future, and discover the true nature and name of God! Great film! But not easy on the eyes. 8.5/10

Blog Entries: 9 | Appaloosa 3/5 A decent western, but I was kind of hoping for better. Death Race 3/5 Enjoyable but ultimately very forgettable, like every other Jason Stratham flick. Nights In Rodanthe 2/5 I was quite disappointed by this one. Message in a Bottle and The Notebook were great movie-conversions of their counterparts. This one, on the other hand, felt a bit too contrived...

| Eyes Without a Face Old French horror film from the 50's, about a surgeon trying to restore his disfigured daughters face by any means possible. Very good cinematography and excellent acting, and has a couple of surprisingly gruesome scenes (considering the time it was made at least). It's abit too slow, but never becomes boring. Very creepily poetic and haunting, though never really scary. Still very good though. And what a fantastic ending!! 8.5/10 Edit- Also it's the name of a Billy Idol song!

| Do you like my helmet? | The Happening: *** (3/5) — Not too bad a movie, though I've never really been a fan of his gimmicky stuff. This one isn't really that gimmicky. No big plot twist, etc. Good acting from Marky Mark, though the characters are all air-heads. The main problem I had was that there's no real suspense; the audience is let in on what's happening too early in the movie, and it doesn't subvert our expectations. Iron Man: **** (4/5) — Excellent movie as far as superhero flicks go. RDJ's acting was superb, Gwyn's a cutie, etc. My problem with this movie is that the main Iron Man suit doesn't do enough fighting. He has one little fight to show off his abilities, a cool flying scene, and then the big climactic fight that's a typical little-guy-against-the-odds kind of battle that doesn't really show off his abilities. I would have liked to see more of the suit's fighting powers. Oh well. |

| W. - 5/10. An odd, ambitious little movie that is consistently interesting, but never quite becomes satisfying on any level. Portrays the president as a deer-caught-in-the-headlights, who begins life as the family underachiever and spends the rest of it trying to live up to his father's expectations. Supporters of Bush will hate it, and haters of Bush will find it too gentle. Josh Brolin is really good, as is Richard Dreyfuss as Cheney, but a few of the other performences feel more like SNL impressions - especially Thandie Newton as Condoleeza Rice. A few scenes - like one that takes place in the WH situation room as they're pondering an Iraq invasion - are truly fascinating, classic Olliver Stone, but as a whole this is a minor work, especially compared to his earlier political epics like JFK or even Nixon. In ten years when we've gotten some perspective on the Bush presidency we might see a really good film about him, but this isn't it. Burn After Reading - 7/10. Funny, occasionally hilarious farce that effectively satires the disconnect between a paranoid, secretive government and a shallow, appearance-obsessed populace in post-9/11 America. The high point is a supporting performence by Brad Pitt as a dim-witted fitness instructor. The Coen brothers have made better comedies than this (Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona) and worse ones also (Ladykillers, Intolerable Cruelty) but the performences and the unpredictable, twisty-turny script make this worth watching. |

| SAW I+II+III+IV unrated uncut special edition SAW I 9/10 SAW II 8/10 SAW III 9/10 SAW IV 7/10 What can I say about SAW... One of the best franchises in the whole world. Jigsaw does the right thing, but the way he does it is not right... The deathscences are really sick and always perfect for the person, who's in it. The plot is so intense, you will find yourself biting your nails best scene in part I: the ending, who was expecting this... o.O best scene in part II: Amanda in the pit/ the guy in the oven ^^ best scene in part III: the lawyer best scene in part IV: the autopsy of Jigsaw/ the teacher Kung Fu Panda 8/10 Really nice and funny Disney/Pixar flick. I was rolling on the floor laughing with tears in my eyes. The Happening 2/10 typical M. Shymalan (what's his name again)... booooooooring... the beginning was promising, everthing afterwards was just bad... Hey please stop making movies... You f*cked up every movie you make... 4108 Director's Cut 8/10 THE best Stephen King movie ever made. So scary, I got goosebumbs And this happened ages ago... So 8 Thumbs up!!! | The Dark Knight: 4 1/2 Stars - I think it's the best Batman movie. It has that 'real' kind of feel to it, and you get that understanding why Batman does what he has to do. As for the Joker, he is brilliant. I wasn't sure whether Heath Ledger's performance was over-hyped because of his death, but i think it's spot on. I completely forgot it was him acting as i fell for his character. I'll have to watch it again once the dvd comes out, just to see if it is as good a second time, but watching it in the cinema was amazing. I did see this movie a while ago, but i don't think I've watched another new movie since. |

| Mega mole | The Wizard 9/10 if you're a gamer (and/or have a learning disability) 5/10 if you're not. Great movie. Like Shia does in Transformers, Fred Savage acts way too well for the script at hand. Awesome movie and an even more awesome star, SMB3. Too bad it had an unconvincing cameo by the Power Glove. |

| Do you like my helmet? | You Don't Mess with the Zohan: *** (3/5) Pretty funny movie with some lame moments and heavy-handed unfunny thematic ending. Pros: appearance by a cane corso, hilarious swimming scene. Cons: appearance after Borat takes some kick out of the xeno-ignorance jokes. |

| Zombie Strippers 4/5 No, really. This was a great movie. It was genuinely funny, had some nice political sideswipes and parodies of movies without seeming contrived and of course zombies and exploading heads. It is an unashamed B-movie but it's done so very well and is an interesting twist on the standard zombie movie. It has some fantastic lines. And yes, nudity but not as much as you would have thought for the title. The 18 is for the explict gore and great make up effects. Good extras too. And a trailer for a CGI (like Final Fantasy: Advent Chidren) Resident Evil move 'Degenerate'. Anyone seen it? |

| Halloween Movies this year: Monster House (8/10): Neat movie! Reminds me of "The Goonies" for some reason. El Orfanato (8/10): Good scary movie with a great finale. Bubba Ho-Tep (9/10): I like this one. Elvis and JFK are fighting a mummy in a retirement home. Weird but good. Plan 9 from outer space (off scale): This is the worst movie of all time after all. But it's a lot of fun to watch if you know some background. Watch Tim Burton's "Ed Wood" in advance. |
