| With the slumber of my PC I haven't been listening to my iTunes much so my last.fm stats are out of date but still fairly accurate. 1. Manic Street Preachers 2. Akira Yamaoka 3. The Paper Chase 4. Faith No More 12. The Cure 13. Queens of the Stone Age 14. The Clash 15. Foo Fighters Others from the top 50, Rico, Aereogramme, The Delgados, Mogwai, British Sea Power, Tomahawk, Joy Division, Terrorvision, Kenickie, Meshuggah |

| Do you like my helmet? | Alright, I just compiled a list of the top artists in my iTunes database sorted by how many times their songs have been played (an iTunes play, i.e. played through to the end of the track). I should break this down even further and divide this by the total number of tracks I have for each band, giving a perhaps more meaningful plays per track average (higher numbers meaning more listening concentration). But for now, just the straight list. Remember, this isn't sorted in order of my particular favourites, just by how much I've listened to each band. 01. The Beatles 02. The Kinks 03. Pink Floyd 04. Fleetwood Mac 05. The Who 06. Jethro Tull 07. U2 08. Led Zeppelin 09. Cat Stevens 10. George Harrison This means George Harrison is the only artist to appear in the Top 10 twice. 11. The Rolling Stones 12. Cream 13. Bob Dylan 14. John Lennon 15. Paul McCartney 16. Neil Young 17. Donovan 18. Ray Davies 19. Deep Purple 20. Guns N' Roses 21. The Jimi Hendrix Experience 22. Eric Clapton 23. The Pretty Things 24. John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers This makes Eric Clapton the first artist to appear as an official member of three separate entries on the list (i.e. not counting guest appearances). 25. Tyrannosaurus Rex 26. The Small Faces 27. Yes 28. The Zombies 29. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young 30. T. Rex 31. Ragnarök 32. Hawksley Workman 33. Queen 34. Derek and the Dominoes And now Eric Clapton is an official member of four separate entries on the list...! 35. Ringo Starr Poor Ringo is the lowest-ranked solo Beatle, but I guess that isn't too surprising. If anything, it's impressive that his solo material alone ranks him higher than: 36. Traffic 37. David Gilmour 38. Neil Young & Crazy Horse This makes Neil Young the second artist to be an official member of three separate entries on the list. 39. The Doors 40. Chuck Berry 41. Scott Walker 42. David Bowie 43. Midnight Oil 44. April Wine 45. Supertramp 46. Rush 47. The Yardbirds And now Clapton is an official member of an amazing five separate entries in the Top 50 alone!!! 48. Emerson, Lake & Palmer 49. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers 50. Muddy Waters 51. Paul & Linda McCartney 52. Wings This makes Paul the third artist to be a member of three separate entries, and the second artist to be a member of four separate entries in the list. 53. The Jeff Beck Group 54. The Byrds 55. The Traveling Wilburys George Harrison is the fourth artist to be a member of three separate entries. 57. ABBA 58. Blind Faith Eric Clapton is now incomprehensibly an official member of six separate entries in the top 60. He's in approximately 10% of the bands I listen to! 59. Graham Nash 60. Fairport Convention 61. AC/DC 62. Roger Waters 63. The Beach Boys 64. Elvis Presley 65. The Graham Bond Organisation 66. of Montreal 67. Grand Funk Railroad 68. Simon and Garfunkel 69. Chicken Shack 70. Robert Plant 71. David Crosby 72. Buffalo Springfield This makes Neil Young the third artist to be an official member of four separate entries on the list. 73. Robert Johnson 74. B.B. King 75. Tom Petty 76. Faces 77. Skip Spence 78. Camel 79. Syd Barrett 80. The Black Mages 81. Styx 82. Paul McCartney & Wings This makes Paul the second artist to be a member of five separate entries. 83. Black Sabbath 84. Aerosmith 85. The Mothers of Invention 86. Quicksilver Messenger Service 87. Tim Hardin 88. Percy "Thrills" Thrillington 89. Peter Green 90. The Animals 91. George Harrison and Friends 92. Jefferson Airplane 93. Phish 94. Eagles 95. The Allman Brothers Band 96. Gandalf 97. The Hollies 98. Moby Grape 99. Nick Drake 00. The Band Creedence Clearwater Revival and Madonna are tied outside of the Top 100, missing inclusion by only one song play. EDIT: Note that the total play count for the #1 band (The Beatles) is 147.7 times larger than the total play count for the #100 band (The Band). | Do you like my helmet? | If we decide we want to do that Trapster Memorial CD Swap, I could just put the one most-played track track by each of the Top 20 artists in this list on there and it would be a solid mix. |

| Great Big Sea, AC/DC, The Script and Johnny Cash. Bit diverse stylistically but if you ever listened to my iPod you'd think I was schizophrenic from all the different musical styles. Honestly i like all types of music as long as the song is good. |
