Default DVD Recording Problems

I recorded myself playing my Wii using a DVD Recorder. When I play the DVD back on my TV yeah it looks normal.

But when I play it on my pc, it has these Black borders around it like this

Any idea how I can make the video fill the frame properly??

The black borders don't look bad to me. As for video cropping, I'm no good at that stuff. It may be your TV's overscan? If so, there might be something in your DVD recorder's options.

I was thinking that too, but I've recorded tv programs and they dont have the borders.

The DVD Rec has four TV Aspect options

4:3 LB, 4:3 PS(Progressive Scan I think), 16:9, and Auto

Firstly I must say that the quality looks great and if you plan to show videos on YouTube they are easily reaching the quality level that is necessary.

Secondly, it's different to record from a TV-Antenna cord and a Wii TV-cord since they have different signal inputs it shouldn't be affected by what the TV's set to but what the Wii's set to, try poking in the screen options with the two options there and see if something happens. I think it's most important that your DVD matches the Wii's screen options.

I feel like an idiot but I think I know teh answer now

I think its cause I was playin the games on VC (50hz aswell) so thats why theres borders.

Guess I'll just have to learn how to crop.
