Post Nintendo eShop VCF Download List (handheld systems)

Welcome to the "Nintendo eShop Virtual Console Forums Download List" thread! The purpose of this thread is to post main and individual collections of Nintendo eShop exclusive content available for the Nintendo 3DS system (excluding Nintendo 3DS digital distribution retail software). Even though this is a software list, general Nintendo eShop discussion is welcome as well.

Nintendo eShop launched in June 2011 worldwide. However, this thread was started at the end of 2008 as "What DSiWare titles have you downloaded?" to coincide the launch of the Nintendo DSi Shop for the Japanese region and in April 2009 for North America and PAL region.

At the end of June 2011, the thread name changed to Nintendo eShop VCF Download List to cover software released on the Nintendo eShop. Of course, if there are any DSi-only owners, you are welcome to add most content available on the Nintendo DSi Shop as well (except select titles listed not to add below).

Thread updates are frequent, with changes happening usually about twice a week. The types of update made varies, depending on the day:
  • Motivation Mondays: Various maintenence such as statistics, game region names and availablity, layout and structure changes are made on this day.
  • Thursdays: General game additions/removals updated on this day.
The latest thread update was made on February 2, 2012, up-to and including #562 (Latest eShop Update).

Informational Walkthrough
GENERAL
  • The thread was originally intended to count game collections from VCF, but Backloggery posts are welcome too.
  • If you are posting from the Backloggery, the comment must be made publicly and also the user has to have posted their collection at least once at The Virtual Console Forums.
INCLUSION OF TITLES
  • Nintendo eShop exclusives for handheld systems and select DSiWare (see next section for exclusions) software available will be counted in the main and side lists, as well as individual lists.
  • Downloadable demos and videos from Nintendo eShop for handheld systems are also counted in the thread lists.
  • When adding/removing a title, mark your posts using (+), (-), or a detailed sentence explaining changes to your entries
  • You are welcome submit changes by replying in the thread, VCF private messaging, or at my backloggery page.
  • When your list changes, it is recommended that you put your new additions or removals in a new post. If you edit your post just to add or remove games, it may not be counted.
WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTED*
(*Subject to change at anytime upon community discussion or without notice).
  • Unauthorized ROM files, bootleg or any other illegal source, as described in the Virtual Console Forum rules.
  • Pre-loaded software that is not available in the Nintendo eShop or Nintendo DSi Shop (Face Raiders, Nintendo Zone, etc.)
  • Virtual Console for Wii Family of systems (Wii, Wii U, etc.) [appropriate thread]
  • New original downloadable software for Wii Family of systems (Wii, Wii U, etc.) [appropriate thread]
  • Nintendo 3DS Game Card Full Software: physical and digital distribution versions. Additionally, demos only on Nintendo 3DS game cards and within Nintendo Zone are not accepted in this thread.[appropriate thread]
  • Software that has been discontinued and/or not supported by the updater (Nintendo DSi Browser, Nintendo 3DS Transfer Tool).
LIMITATIONS
  • Limit of one (1) software copy is allowed in the list for every original and distribution systems per user account.
  • Titles that were added by users in the promotional list, but later had to be re-purchased on a non-promotion due to the user deleting their shop account will be ended up in the main list. Be careful when performing this!
  • Demos: All demos that are available from Nintendo eShop will be accepted in the promotional list only if the user does not have the full version of the games or the trial has not expired its limited plays.
  • Banning Policy: Users that are eventually banned from the Virtual Console Forums will have their lists automatically removed, regardless of removal of titles or not. An inspection may be checked nonetheless.

Isn't it a little early to start a thread about this?

Yeah, it is a bit too early. I think we only have one user in Japan...

Also, nice C&P job of my thread; I'm flattered.

Heh. You're welcome!

I amazed myself a bit how I added that before you showed up, especially since it takes me forever to make links.

What? I meant Versus22 used some of the same text in his thread that I used...

It's ok. Hey, at least this thread's getting replies, even if they are as off-topic as posts can possibly be.

My guess is that he wants to be recognised as the thread maker... yes some people pride themselves in being the thread starter of busy threads apparently!

Although in saying that, I don't see this thread exactly taking off given a lot of people already stated they won't be buying the insanely overpriced DSi

You're right about that one! I get PMs from people all the time talking about "their" threads as though they own them. Sorry folks, but when you make a thread, you're donating it to the forum.

That's exactly my thought. Too bad this thread will only get a purpose when probably next to nobody will ever come to this board again. ^^

@ Yogurt: I never get PMs. ^^

In case someone hijacked a truck full of DSi's. XD

I did get my DS Fat in the post a day before launch day, so it can happen to luck buggers.

I got mine a couple of months before the regular European launch, thanks to a special offer in the Star catalogue limited to 1000 pieces. Beat that.
But even if anybody here already had a US DSi he couldn't post any downloaded games just yet as the service wouldn't have started so far.

If Nintendo knows as much about online technology as their online gaming systems indicate, then that might be very likely indeed. ^^

Although in saying that, I don't see this thread exactly taking off given a lot of people already stated they won't be buying the insanely overpriced DSi
Plus the fact is that is nothing more than a stopgap system .

Dr. Mario is coming out of my a.. ears. I will get the WiiWare version at some point down the road..... because it's online.

What is good about the DSi version?
How many points is it?

It's good because it has all the polish of the WiiWare version, but it's portable. It's only 500 points. Dr. Mario is awesome all-round.

Yup, Dr Mario makes for an excellent portable game. Frankly, I prefer to play it this way than in front of my TV. It just lends itself better to on-the-go gaming, as most puzzlers do.

I added 1000 points Monday in anticipation of DrMario.

+1 Dr Mario

Also, I like the way games show up on the home screen as little gift boxes you clicky to unwrap them, LOL
