Blog Entries: 9 | An isometric viewing angle does seem like an odd choice. We'll see how that'll work out soon enough, I guess. Frankly, I liked the top-down view from the first two games. GTA 2 was my favorite of the series. After it turned to 3D I started losing interest, especially since the first two games were of a lot simpler make. No convoluted plots or anything like that. Just make enough money any way possible to move on to the next city/area. With any luck this iteration might be more like the game I'm interested in.

| I'm not a huge fan of isometric views, they ruined Sonic 3d Blast and they'll probably ruin this game too. I have a bad feeling this will turn about the same as the GBA grand theft auto. Then again, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Heres to hoping for the later.

Blog Entries: 9 | http://www.nintendoeverything.com/?p=3857 A few screenshots of the game have appeared. It certainly looks a lot like the GTA I knew and loved. Here's to hoping.

| It doesn't look bad but with isometric there's the chance of action being hidden behind buildings and other objects, I'd like to see how they get around that. I didn't expect it to be isometric but it makes sense because full 3D would be too difficult and 2D wouldn't go down well. |

Blog Entries: 9 | The more I read/see/hear about the game the more excited I get about it. Already pre-ordered. This GTA is definitely what I've been hoping for, and, damn, it looks very good, too. Watch the latest gameplay trailer.

Also, apparently GameStop is hosting launch parties this month with free swag giveaways and demo units of the game you can play before the game releases. http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/ctw/ | |

Blog Entries: 9 | More GTA: CW goodness. Yes, yes, and yes! This is the GTA I've been waiting for. Screw gritty realism (which is a total bore).

Blog Entries: 9 | The game has received very positive reviews. In fact, right now it is in top spot on metacritic's DS list (which may change over time). I'm looking forward to picking up my copy after work tomorrow.

Blog Entries: 9 | Loving it! Actually, I got sidetracked after my first hour with extinguishing fires and carting cab fares (my first fare got run over by another car as he was whistling at me. Poor sod. I can already say this is a must-have game for the DS, and I've barely scratched the surface. As mentioned before, I've never been a big fan of GTA III and above. To me this is a perfect return to form for the series.

| It's so great how they've recreated the original GTA experience in a completely new and refreshing way! |

| Mega mole | Anyone else experiencing the occasional freeze up/stall? I just had my second one, the game always seems to "come back." But it gets kinda annoying, since it's happened during really epic chases (normally between a rival gang, the cops and me) and kinda throws off the pacing. From what I read on gamefaqs, this is kinda common... I guess I meant this more as a warning than a rally call. |

Blog Entries: 9 | Yup, I've had two of them as well so far. It's a bit annoying, but I can overlook it. It's the only fault I have with the game. On another matter, I've made over fifty thousand in less than twenty minutes last night selling acid for some ridiculous prices. Playing vigilante can be pretty fun.

| Mega mole | I have a deep love/hate thing going with the dope dealing mini-game. It kinda makes it way too easy to make money in the game. I think I'm up to 6 or 7 safe houses (3-4 of them given to me from missions and merit, the rest bought). I'm just about to crest the 40% mark, but have mostly been advancing the story through the main missions. I only do the mini-games and side quests to make quick money for ammo and such (or if I have 2 tip offs working for eachother ie: guy selling coke cheap and guy buying high across town). |

| It certainly is. I beat it a while back and had much fun doing it. A pity its reportadly bombed in the sales. Perhaps the PSP remake will help it find its audience.

| Para-goomba | This game is excellent already my favourite GTA, mind you I always preferred the original to the 3D ones anyway. I like that destroying cop cars gets rid of them Currently not far into the story due to drug dealer hunting right now to get most of them on the map for the larger number of high buyers and low sellers to come up |
