Is It Worth It?

I was thinking about getting a ds and was wondering if it was worth it. I was gonna spend the money on some wii games but the ds looks pretty cool.

The DS is probably the most successful console ever marketed or built.
Grab one now!

It has a games library that can satisfy every taste, plus it plays the complete library of games for Game Boy Advance...an unlimited choice.

You may hope in someone else being a bit more explicit than me, but I can't see anyone here who can answer you not to buy a DS.

YES, it's deffinitely worth it. There are more great games on DS than there are on Wii that's for sure.

Theres also a wide range of 3rd party support for the DS, atlus being one of my favorites. its a great system and wont fall apart when you drop it,.. at least the first time.

Yes, yes and yes again. I got my lite about 5 months or so ago and I'm loving it. With titles such as Mario Kart DS, Phantom Hourglass and Animal Crossing you can't go wrong.

There's loads of great games for DS you should definatly get it.

It's a great little handheld. Just make sure to get a set of screen protectors for your touch screen.

It's funny how it was only supposed to complement the GBA, but ended up stealing its thunder. Not a bad thing, in my opinion.

If I do, and I only get one game, what should I get?

I'm thinking about: Brain Age 2, Tetris DS, Mario Kart DS, Elite Beat Agents, but I would like some more opinions.....please hurry, I might get it in less then 24 hours.

First of all, a very good idea to get the DS, it's a great handheld
I would get New Super Mario Bros., Phantom Hourglass or Mario Kart DS if I were you.

I'm deciding if bumping an old ass thread compensates for not making a new one on the same subject... I guess it's okay. Do get Elite Beat Agents indeed. May I also reccomend New Super Mario Bros. and of course Mario Kart DS. Also, if you want, pick up Zelda.

What do you mean "I guess it's okay".....it's brilliant

Elite Beat Agents is what I'm leaning towards if I don't hear anything better. That's one game that I wanted to play since I heard about it.

The only thing that I keep thinking about is the Zelda Bundle. I don't really want Zelda. I was hoping to get a game that's a more pick-up and play, but I can't argue with the price of $149.99. You get a cool gold DS (w/triforce logo) and Zelda. That means you're getting Zelda for only $20.

I picked up a crimson/black DS and Elite Beat Agents yesterday. I only got a chance to play EBA for two songs because I was waiting for the DS to charge and I didn't get home until late last night. I'm really happy with both my new DS and EBA. EBA is freaking funny. I'm only two songs in and already I can't recall a game with better comedy.

I'll post my friend code when I get a game with Wi-Fi.

Tetris is very addictive, But There isn't much there NEW SMB is great, as is SM64DS and Phantom Hourglass.

Yeah, I'm aware of all of the mentioned games, and I also understand that thay are awesome games. I might get some of them eventually but for now I'm concentrating on the type of games that I bought the system for....and that's edutainment, puzzle, stratey. I love Mario and Zelda but I'm interested in some of Nintendo's other game series such as Brain Age and all of the touch generation games....minus Nintendogs (I've played my little bro's and didn't really see what all the hype was about). Plus, for the moment, I'm all "Zeldaed" out. New Super Mario Bros. or the new Contra will most likely be the first games I buy not from a genre listed above.
