Default Mario & Luigi RPG series

Hey i was just wondering if it was worth playing though the whole mario & luigi series from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga to Bowser's inside story or would it better just to play the 2 ds version or if just playing one of them would be better.

Note: It will be quiet hard to get a copy of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Mario SSS is quite cheap and a hell of a lot cheaper than that COMPLETE copy of Banjo Tooie that you said you would get.

Is SSS the only one on GBA? I think it is. If so, then you should get it. It won't be too much of an investment (although I don't know, in your Ozland money), and a lot of people around here really seem to like it.

It costs $12 used on Amazon (as opposed to the $89 a complete copy of Banjo Tooie goes for). That should be pretty affordable

He's from Australia. Their Amazon availability is different, and their currency has a different value.

Really? My bad then. Although I still don't think that a cart only copy of a popular franchise (even in Australia) will set you back too much. There is an Amazon Australia, right?

The whole series is very good. I don't see that much of a difference.

However, I think the story of Bowser's Inside Story is great just because you go inside bowser for the first time.

Superstar Saga is excellent.

Partners In Time is apparently not all that great.

Bowser's Inside Story is really fun for a while then really boring for a while, it apparently goes back to being not boring but I've not progressed past the really boring part.

Playing through BIS now, and only played SSS before that. Partners in Time I'm looking for, but SSS and BIS are the ****! I like them both!

Partners in Time is very fun. One of my all-time-DS favourites, and imo the best RPG on the system.

I'm struggling to progress in Bowers Inside Story, I suppose I'm in the very booooring part now.....

and Superstar Saga was arguably the worst in the series, but I have only played 30% of it, (little girl worried about her game and wanted to have it back, dumb little girl. Now I have to buy my own copy and start from scratch).

For me it's

1. 9.9/10 : Paper Mario
2. 9.6/10 : Paper Mario 2
3. 9.3/10 : Super Paper Mario
4. 9.1/10 : Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time
5. 9.0/10 : Super Mario RPG
6. 8.2/10 : Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story
7. 8.0/10 : Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

Unfortunately, Partners In Time is kinda expensive. And I shudder to think how expensive it is in Australia, what with less copies of the game going around and all. Apparently it's incredibly hard (according to a friend); is it?

If you exchange Partners in Time with Supersta Saga, you'll get my Top Three.
PoT was arguably the worst & most uninspired of the bunch.

Superstar Saga has a rhythm-based battle system (like most/all the Mario RPGs). You don't need the sound turned on to help you with battles, as there are strong visual cues. But if you suck at these kinds of battles anyway, it'll really slow down your progress and make the game drag like hell. I really didn't care for Superstar Saga for this reason.

I enjoyed the entire series but if you don't want to buy all of them I would just get the 1st and 3rd.

If you only want to get one of them I would get just the 3rd.
