Another classic series gets a sequel. It sound that PilotWings Resort is a bit related to Wii Sports Resort.

The visuals for PilotWings Resort look really nice for 3DS. What do you all think about this game?

They're using the WSR/Wii Fit island right? Seems a little lazy but also kind of cool.

Yeah, they used Wuhu Island in the demo at E3. It would be interesting if they keep that setting for the final version.

I believe it was Miyamoto who said they planned on using Wuhu Island as a recurring setting for Nintendo video games, so I don't find it hard to believe this will be what the final game uses.

In Pilotwings Resort Wuhu Island should be just one stage, just like in Mario Kart 3DS.
I don't think it would be very fun to replay (flying a plane and sky diving) stuff we already exhausted on a big screen - just because it's 3D.

Add the hangglider and rocketbelt and gyrocopter and jumping boots (and real skydiving landing),
but add more islands too: maybe another retro stage (Little States from Pilotwings 64).

"Resort" sounds as if it's just revolving around Wuhu Island and nothing else.
And that's ... well, dunno yet. With Miis and everything this is something I'd rather play on the Wii.

I remember playing this on th N64, even though most the people I know didnt like it, i enjoyed it, so i will be getting this when I can, took them a while to make a sequal though didnt it lol

Thankfully, not as long as Kid Icarus: Uprising, which was like 20 years after that last installment.

I do find flight simulators that Nintendo publishes very interesting, although I never owned the other two PW games in the series, I do plan on getting the first portable one.
