Kid Icarus: Uprising

This upcoming game for the Nintendo 3DS, Kid Icarus: Uprising has gotten me very excited. It is the 3rd game in the series, and the first in 2 decades.

I always wanted to play a series like this. Although, I played the NES game, I didn't play it very much because it was a extended family copy, and I wasn't used to the controls.

The trailer for Kid Icarus: Uprising is great, with impressive graphics for a Nintendo handheld system and the story looks promising too. I'm really looking forward to it when it possibly hits as a launch title very soon.

I'm looking forward to it as well, dodging lazers in 3D should be interesting.

Yeah, except that this is more like a platformer than a total shooter. But still I think a few segments are like simaliar to the S&P series like you said.

Yeah. The platforming sections still remind me of S&P though. Just with more free control instead of on rails. Still I hope the rumours are true about 3DS coming out in time for christmas. If this is a launch game ill definatly be trying my best to get one before they all sell out.

I highly doubt the 3DS is coming out this Holiday. I'm thinking next holiday.

I heard rumors the 3DS comes out in December 2010 and I think it really could.

The only problem is: I doubt most games would be finished by then, so the 3DS would come out with no big launch titles.

I believe Nintendo said before March 2011. My guess is that means they will release it in March.

Are they going for a simultaneous global launch on this one? Or do they mean December 2010 in Japan and March 2011 in North America? Or do they mean March 2011 in Japan and an undisclosed time after that in North America?

Well it looks right now that it will come out exactly the same timing as the DSi.

I can't wait until this comes out so I can make snotty comparisons to the Sin & Punishment sequel which is also coming from Nintendo. But in all seriousness, this looks like good stuff, and I'm interested in it.

PS Now if only they could make a S&P remake for the DSi, like all of those other N64 remakes.

Yes, I would like to see a portable version for the DS/3DS system. If only they would consider it!

It would be interesting to know what kind of bosses are in Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Considering the number of Wii games coming out this holiday, I doubt we'll see the 3DS this year.

I think its probably more to do with the 3DS games not being near finished in time that it's getting a 2011 release rather than to do with the Wii lineup.

True, but even with finished games, you still have big names Kirby, Donkey Kong, Golden Sun DD, 2 Pokemon games (Ranger 3 and PokePark), Prof Layton 3, Metroid Other M and Wii Party on the Nintendo side all due this year. That's enough to plug 2 Christmas's, let alone one. ;P

Kids don't need to buy every game that's coming out during the holiday season. Anyways, I would assume that some are coming out a few months before Christmas, but Fall 2010 is a pretty ambiguous date...

Heh, thats alot! I plan to only get 3-5 games for the remainder of 2010, since I'm currently saving up for this game, and four others for the 3DS.

IN a typical Nintendo style schedule its enough games til 2015, but by any other schedule its just about enough for the remainder of the year.

Its interesting to see some sort of AR cards, and the battle mode.
The prediction thing is what I don't really like (RPS format). It would have been cool if you could level them up somehow.
