I'm really tempted to get this but I've heard it's so short. I'll probably hold off on it until I can find a used one or it goes down to like $29.99.

But Stupid Square (I'm not going to say Enix because I know its some CEO on the Square side) is keeping the Dragon Quest IV remake for DS from coming over to the US. Which of course the game sold more than double the amount of the FMV filled, vocal driven, media obsessed FFIV DS remake in Japan.
Square(Enix) just continued to think that we here in America are only going to get into Dragon Quest through playing them a certain way, not by actually getting INTO the series through good marketing and the same exact way oh I donno...we got into every other RPG series that got popular over here. Suikoden never got popular over here because of a shortage of stock and no advertising. While even less popular RPGs in Japan like Persona 3 came over here and sold well just because of a little advertising and having enough stock on the shelves. They started off good with Dragon Quest Monsters with some VERY good advertising and sold an ok amount for a spin-off considering no DQ game in years, then they didn’t release the DQIV remake. Are you just TRYING to make Dragon Quest fail Squenix? Don't want competition with your beloved Final Fantasy, which you are doing a good job of flushing down the toilet. Oh...and on a side note, this game looks pretty good as long as the voices aren't as unbearable and all forced British like they were in Dragon Quest VIII. Because unlike in DQVIII, this game you HAVE to have voices on...

My word of advice, don't buy the game from GameStop or a similar store that won't let you return it if it doesn't.

The casual crowd is not stupid and will not be happy with a short game unless it has replay value. Something usually lacking in a roleplaying game.
