Default Dr. Mario updated?

While browsing the Shop Channel today, I noticed that the Dr. Mario Wiiware had an 'Updated!' sign next to it. I downloaded the update but didn't notice anything different about the game when I played it. It didn't say anything in the Shop Channel or Operations Guide about what the update does. Anyone know?

Yeah, I noticed it about a week ago, someone said it enabled nunchuck support, but wasn't it supported from the beginning? I did notice a little animation on the Wi-Fi section to notify me a friend was online, but that may have always been there too. Maybe it just fixed some buggies.

The update requires 90 blocks I think, so I'm not going to download it. I think it just enables more controller setups. But it doubles the amount of space Dr. Mario takes up, so I'd advise against it. Everyone I know uses just the Wii-mote anyway, so not very many people need more controller options..

The update doesn't take up any more blocks. It says 90 blocks because that's how big the game is (it probably acts as a download buffer), but when the download is over you have the same number of open blocks as when you started.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. Does the update just allow for more controller options though?

yeah you need 90 open blocks, but it only uses like 10. But the only thing I noticed is that the graphics are slightly better.

I don't know; I never paid attention to the controller options before. I just downloaded it because I assume "updated" meant "better" and it never hurt anyone.

I don't think it uses any extra blocks. I had 605 before, then the download was supposed to take me down to 512, and then after Mario finished his little running jumping standing still routine, I had 605 left again. If it tweaked the graphics, that's pretty cool. Somehow I doubt it. If they added a WiFi notification, that's cool too (it always needed something kind of like that).
