While getting over the double whammy of little or no access to the internet (and thus the VC) and the shortage of stellar titles on the Wii over the past 9 months, I've been playing a lot of PC doujin fighting games.
Purchased Big Bang Beat, Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Melty Blood Act Cadenza and MONSTER off Himeyshop and Paletweb, and have been getting more and more hooked since. Anyone here into them? If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up videos of the aforementioned games on youtube. For the fighting game fans out there, the PC, amazingly, is beginning to look like the holy grail, with the dearth of titles on other platforms seemingly wholly compensated for by the willingness of a few Japanese guys without girlfriends to code commercial-quality games in their bedrooms fuelled, no doubt, by industrial-sized cans of Red Bull. Good for them, I say.
