Does anyone know this piece of hardware for the n64 ?

last week i bought this cool controling device for the nintendo 64 at a jumble sale in my neighbourhood.

does anyone know something about this device ?

All i know is that itis a wrist controller using a gyroscope combined with a pistol-like controller that has a lcd display giving you information about the gyroscopes axis and rotation ...

and that i works quite well with jump and run games like mario 64 ...

Either someone made that on their own as a fan device, some sorta early control model, or a specail controller for some game.
Buuuuut those where my best guesses.
i dunno.
