So i just had a thought, where do you think the Xbox 360,PS3 and wii will be in 2 years from this date....

Will there be new consoles??

New features???

Diffrent versions of each console???

Better games????

sequels??


Or anything else???

Only time will tell. =P

I really can't see either PS3 or Xbox360 lasting for an entire ten-year period as some people like to believe, though. They'll be both outdated long before that, and I seriously doubt people would care a whole lot about merely "updated" models.

PS3 will get Metal Gear Solid 4 and whatever the team that made Ico and Shadow of the Colossus think of next. Sales will improve every year for the console as they gain back exclusive titles.

Xbox 360 will release even more versions of their console every year and try to gain some of the casual market pie as they have started doing now. Console sales will stay the same or diminish slightly over the next few years.

Im curious....

Sony have said that they want the PS3 to stand for 10 years. And as the PS2 is STILL releasing games (And therefore is still winning the console wars) and it's been almost 8 years, I can see the PS3 still standing 10 years from now.

It certainly has the graphical power to keep it looking good for at least 8 years. This is as long as there isn't some kind of crazy advancement in that time period (Crysis 2).

Hmm rele, and the 360 and wii?

For the 360 and Wii I expect a much, much shorter life time. Xbox will want to get ahead of Sony after it begins to take over and release "Xbox 720" and the lack of power in the Wii will begin to become such a problem after awhile that it too will have to upgrade to something different.
