Default Did anyone actually own a Neo Geo or TG16 back in the day?

So did anyone actually own a Neo Geo or TG16 back in the day? Just curious.

Also if this is in the wrong board, could a mod or admin delete this post? Thank you.

I don't know about back in the day... I bought my NG back in 1999 and I still have it, together with an extensive collection of AES games I've built up slowly in the meantime.

I could never afford the NG when it first came out and as far as I recall, we never even had the TG in Sweden, more's the shame.

I remember when the NG came out, but it never really interested me.

I had a TG16 back in the day and thought it was pretty neat, but I only ever played a few games on it. They're all on the VC now!

I had a Neo Geo.

Was far superior to whatever Game Boy was out at the time, more compact than the Game Gear, and easier to hold, more durable, and better controls than the PSP.

Sadly, there wasn't much to play on it other than puzzle games (Who in their right minds blows money on that crap, especially on home consoles for premium price tags?!?! -- No offense, if you do.) And more troubling was the early death of the system as it had much potential.

That's the Neo-Geo Pocket Color you're describing. This is the actual Neo-Geo console:

Anyway, I did own a TG-16 back in the day. Pretty cool console. Most of the games I owned are on the VC right now except The Legendary Axe and Keith Courage in Alpha Zones.

I had/have a TurboGrafx-16. It was such a great console. I also have a bunch of games that still aren't on the VC, like Somer Assault, Ballistix, and Legendary Axe.
