Cool DEMON212's Video Reviews.

Hello and welcome to my reviews.

For a long time now I've wanted to do video reviews, so here they are. I plan on doing one for everyone of my VC games, good or bad.

My video's aren't designed to be entertaining. And I don't score the games.

These video's are to show you the games. To explain a little bit (If not alot) about what you do in the game, without showing any major spoilers.

I try to let the music of the game be heard in all of my video's, so that you can not only see the graphics and gameplay, but so that you can hear what you'd be hearing whilst playing.

To view what VC games I own, hit this link.

http://www.vc-forums.com/showthread.php?t=782

To easily find my list, just hit "ctrl + f" and then enter "DEMON212".

If you are a fan of my video's, then please subscribe to my youtube profile, to be among the first to be informed when my new video's have been uploaded. And please feel free to leave comments and to rate my reviews.

So, just hit this link and behold! My mediocre video's

I enjoyed the video. You knew what you were talking about. I'd like to see you review some of the more obscure games on the VC like Cybernator (is that obscure? I never saw it back in the day).

I thought a capture card would be preferable over a camcorder but the reproduction was good and youtube degrades the picture anyway so it doesn't really make a difference. The sound recording was also good.

Well, first thing I have to say is of course...you're English!

Yeah, maybe it may look strange for you but I'm not used to hear english people talking. Of course this is because I'm so used to listen to americans, and that's a completely different accent.
This is my only real advice: keep in mind that foreigners out here all understand better americans instead of british people;you already talk quite clearly with the right speed and volume, so I'm afraid it's really just a matter of voice inflection, but..well, just for you to know it.

So, even if I missed a lot (really, a lot) of your sentences I enjoyed it; of course I was understanding what you were generally saying, but being it a review your speech was obviously the most important thing and I look forward to watch it again to get something more about you.

Being it an "extended" gameplay video, it's obvioulsy more interesting than the short videos we're used to. If a potential buyer feels his curiosity hasn't been fullfilled watching them, this kind of video will surely be satisfying enough.

What about real reviews sometimes? Ok, I suppose you did it this way to be a deeper "first look" at the game and help people decide about the game, so you didn't want to add "spoilers" in the review and leave the player the joy of discovery.
Anyway I think making a review may be really fun, you have to plan it to cover all the most important aspects of the game in a relatively short time, and you have different shooting and recording sessions and then you have to cut it. So, just if you were wondering how could you do somehing more complicated, here's neuzd and his really predictable idea.

Good work. I didn't subscribe because I don't have a youtube account (and I don't want to have one) but I del.icio.us'd your profile page.

Just watched it and really enjoyed it
Detailed review with lots of gameplay footage, that you covered when talking about it, plus it makes me want to play Super Castlevania IV again...

First time I've heard you talk as well

You should do plenty more, when will be the next one?

That's pretty good, I look forward to more. You'll get even better with practice as well.

Nice work. It's made me want to replay it - never finished it the first time.

Look forward to any future reviews. I think it'd be a great idea for more than one person to do these kind of reviews (if they have the technology)

Maybe Drake would allow links on the VC Reviews site.

Thanks for the feedback everyone

Neuzd.

Some good stuff there, I've been told that about my voice before so it is something I've got to try to work on.

As you said yourself, this was totally a beginners thing. A stepping stone. I'd like to learn how to chop footage so that I'm not always only showing the first level. My brother does all sorts of stuff like that, so he's said he'll help.

Longer vids could be a problem though. Youtube only allow me 10 minutes a video, and I don't know if people would lose interest knowing that 10 minutes is only part 1.

Unfortunatly though, going past the 10 minute mark is far too easy on certain games.

As for more reviews and when. I'll be doing one for every VC game I've got, and they'll be done when I get some time

Hopefully tonight'll give me time to do a second

But once again, thanks to you all

Great review, you have actually convinced me to buy this instead of Contra 3.. Thanks! Great to hear a good old geordie accent in a video review instead of an american person!

Thanks, keep up the good work!
