Default Decent Multiplayer Game Help

Okay, so I'm in a bit of a panic at the moment and I have enough of a reason to state why.

As well as Virtual Console titles and standard solo Wii experiences, I look into the occasional multiplayer titles that will get a lot of us people involved. So far I have two of which (Wii Sports and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games) but pretty much everyone in my extended family already have them and I need to make some kind of an update.

My mother, however, ended up doing just that yesterday. The downside? She looked into Game Party, some party game for the system that most critics stated it should be avoided at all costs, and her decision has really peeved me off!!

I want something at least half decent, to appeal to not just the usual gamer crowds but also kids aged 5-11 (most of my cousins playing on Wii consoles) and the occasional middle-aged adult. I would really love some suggestions on what to go for here.

Do not recommend Super Smash Bros Brawl because I am European and I'm not wasting my dosh on a freeloader, and do not recommend Mario Kart Wii either because I doubt that not everyone in my family would adapt to the whole racing genre.

Please, respond my post. I really hate the idea of throwing darts and playing air hockey to some lame first-gen-PS2-quality graphics, and I want to sell that crap as soon as I can get the chance

What about Sega Superstars Tennis? Easy for beginners to pick up but with more depth once you practise and get good at it. The Sega theme will appeal to gamers and tennis itself has wide appeal for everyone else. Might seem too close to Wii Sports Tennis at first but it's quite different.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Multiplayer is more fun than Wii Sports and it should appeal
to all ages. The only downer is the multiplayer mode needs unlocking,
which requires 2-3 hours of play. Try watching some gameplay at youtube.

I didn't like the multiplayer on SMB Banana Blitz, lots of minigames but not as good quality as the single player.

One game that has surprisingly good multiplayer is Sonic and the Secret Rings, which has some minigame-based multiplayer in addition to the main single player game. It's not worth buying just for the multiplayer but it's worth playing.

I also agree with max herman that Smooth Moves is a good game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Remember the days on the SNES and N64 when you could just run around in levels or even just the opening area doing random junk for hours with your friends, not even playing the regular game? This is a revival of those types of games.

The regular game is a really good single or co-op game as well.

I'm kind of surprised you haven't looked into Mario Party yet. Ought to be a good fit for that kind of crowd
